Sunshine Coast-based <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/developers/devcon-property-group">Devcon Property Group</a> has acquired one of Maroochydore’s most prominent development sites for $12 million unlocking the potentialfor a mixed-use project in the Cotton Tree precinct.

The 4,178 sqm site at 41–43 Aerodrome Road—well known locally as the former home to one of Australia’s last Sizzler restaurants—was sold via an off-market expressions of interest campaign by Colliers agents Nick Dowling and Baydn Dodds. The group has improved the original design scheme for what will be Rozelle Village, with changes to the retail plaza and apartment designs.&nbsp;

Set to enhance the local retail precinct and provide a new community hub, apartment numbers have been reduced from 167 to 146, with a change in apartment mix also, increasing the number of two and three-bedders to suit the current market.&nbsp;

Construction is planned to commence in mid-2023 with completion due by 2025. It’s anticipated the apartments will be selling off the plan in 2023, with CBRE marketing them. An on-site sales office will include a display apartment and full detail on the retail offering.&nbsp;

Wests Ashfield, CEO, Simon Cook said the Club was excited that plans had progressed on the redevelopment of the site and he was pleased the amendments by Heworth sought to improve the current design scheme.

Balmain Leagues Club set for redevelopment

Sydney apartment vendors secured a 70 percent weekend auction success rate with CoreLogic advising almost half the sales were pre-auction.

CoreLogic reported 214 apartment and townhouse sales with 97 finding buyers before auction.

Sydney estate agents secured 52 sales via online auctions given the city being in lockdown.

Some 48 listings were postponed.

CoreLogic calculated a $1.03 million median.

Sydney&#39;s dearest weekend apartment sale was the two bedroom, two bathroom at 161/5 Wulumay Close, Rozelle which sold at online auction for $2.77 million.

Taronga Zoo director sells Rozelle cottage

The commute from Sydney to the Southern Highlands must have ­become too much for chef Brigid Kennedy and her farmer husband Kevin Nott.
The pair, who have used their Rozelle home as their Sydney base for eight years, have listed it for sale with ­expectations of $2.1 million.
The couple own The Loch in Berrima, a working farm that offers boutique accommodation and a restaurant for Sunday dining.
Kennedy is the chef and Nott is a farmer and landscaper who manages Loch Farm Stall, the farm gardens for their paddock-to-plate restaurant, The Tasting Room.

They've had the home for nearly two decades, having paid $1.15 million in 2000 for an original late 1800s farmhouse with a period cottage.
No word on where to next, but Cobden &amp; Hayson Balmain agents Danny Cobden and Samantha Elvy have a $4.8 million guide for a July 27 auction.

The fully modernised home has five bedrooms and four bathrooms across its two levels, as well as a parking for four cars.
Comprising high ceilings and an Indian limestone paved terrace, the home features a private lounge and a custom office.
The ground level master wing has its own designer ensuite.
Late last year, Milne resigned from the ABC after allegations he asked for a number of journalists to be sacked after the fallout of managing director Michelle Guthrie's departure.
Milne had been in the ABC's top job since 2017. He moved to New South Wales in the 1980s having bought a film company in Sydney. He more recently had senior roles at Telstra, Microsoft and NBN.
He and Cicognani married in 1996.
In 2014 they spent $1,212,500 on a two bedroom investment home across the road that has been a $720 a week rental.
Milne previously owned houses in Balmain and Lindfield. 
The Erinagh property was the longtime 1800s home of the Toohey family who were the caretakers of Glebe Island Bridge.

Historic Rozelle home and Ladies in Black film location pulled from auction

David Landa, the former NSW Ombudsman, and his wife, Valerie has sold their Rozelle home for $4.1 million, equalling the highest house sale in the suburb.

They paid $370,000 in 1996.
The house is spread across three levels and has around 465 sqm of total space.
It features three verandas and an atrium with remote controlled blades to adjust sunlight levels.
It was on the market for three weeks, with almost 90 groups through and several strong offers made.
The selling agent Thomas Skelly of Savills issued 10 contracts.
A local family were quick to act, viewing the home twice before submitting the winning offer.
The sale equals the record set earlier this year when a Margaret Street waterfront also sold for $4.1 million.

David Landa sells Rozelle home for $4.1 million

Two commercial properties on Rozelle's busy Terry Street have sold at auction.
The most expensive property was a 43 square metre space leased to specialist wine merchant Empty Glass, which sold for $700,000 on a 5.41% yield.
They have the lease until 2021, with a five year option to 2026. It rents at $37,856 per annum.
Next doors' property, tenanted by Curti &amp; Co barbershop, sold for $630,000 on a 5.49% yield. They pay $34,611 per annum.
Both properties are located in a near new development and a four percent annual rent increases.
Burgess Rawson agents Michael Gilbert and Dean Venturato sold the properties at auction on Tuesday.
