A long-stalled Campbelltown development site is back in play, with new plans for 139 apartments set to supersede a mixed-use scheme approved almost a decade ago but never built.

The new proposal for 28 Cordeaux Street would deliver 116 market and 23 affordable apartments in a part 14-storey building, bringing a substantial new project into a Campbelltown market where new apartment supply remains limited.

Plans have been filed over the 3,092 sqm corner site at Moore-Oxley Street, around 600 metres from Campbelltown Railway Station and the city-centre retail core.

The site already carries a mixed-use residential approval dating to 2016. Doroch Architects has now been engaged on a larger replacement scheme, which is progressing as a State Significant Development Application following a Housing Delivery Authority determination in August 2025.

The apartment mix comprises 39 one-bedroom, 72 two-bedroom and 28 three-bedroom residences. Two-bedroom apartments make up just over half of the project, while three-bedroom homes account for 20 per cent.

Of the 139 apartments, 23 will be delivered as affordable housing under the in-fill affordable housing provisions of the Housing SEPP. The affordable component represents 15 per cent of the residential gross floor area and will be managed by a registered Community Housing Provider.

Doroch has sought to break the scale of the building into two distinct elements, with a masonry podium of around four storeys establishing the street edge before the residential tower steps back above.

The corner position has shaped that approach. Cordeaux Street faces toward the commercial and civic centre, while Moore-Oxley Street leads into the lower-scale residential neighbourhood to the south, and the design verification report describes the site as "bridging the commercial core to the north and established residential areas to the south."

The podium will be expressed predominantly in face brick, while the upper levels shift to brushed and grooved concrete cladding with darker metal detailing. Recessed sections, deep balcony edges and landscaping break down the upper form, with an approximately 11.8-metre setback to the northern boundary addressing the adjoining St Peters Anglican School.

Queensland builder-developer MAYD has revealed the first look at its major North Kirra beachfront development, lodging amended plans that reduce the number of apartments and increase the proportion of larger residences.

The project is planned across a substantial 4,742 sqm amalgamated site spanning seven lots at <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/new-apartments/2-6-pacific-parade-bilinga-qld-4225">2-6 Pacific Parade</a> and 27-33 Golden Four Drive in Bilin​ga, directly opposite Nor​th Kirra Beach.

<a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/developers/mayd-group">MAYD</a> secured the site for $32.5 million in 2025, in what was one of the Gold Coast's largest property transactions of the year.

The development will be delivered across two stages, with the first stage carrying an estimated gross realisation value of around $360 million.

The latest amendments seek to reduce the overall apartment count and shift the project further toward the owner-occupier market, with larger residences designed for buyers wanting considerably more space than traditionally offered in a beachfront apartment.

The residential mix will include townhomes, oversized two-bedroom apartments, substantial three-bedroom residences and four-bedroom homes.

MAYD has appointed Cera Stribley to lead the architecture and interiors, with the Melbourne-based design practice drawing on the beachfront setting through a series of ocean-facing terraces and heavily landscaped balconies.

Strong horizontal forms and curved balconies will define the exterior, with subtropical landscaping integrated throughout the building to soften the built form and increase the connection between the residences and the beachfront.

The project will also include an extensive collection of resident wellness and lifestyle facilities, continuing the broader shift across the Gold Coast's luxury apartment market toward larger homes supported by resort-style amenity.

MAYD Founder Todd Mould said North Kirra was increasingly appealing to buyers attracted to the more established, lower-density character of the southern Gold Coast.

"North Kirra presents one of the most compelling luxury residential opportunities currently emerging in Australia, combining absolute beachfront with the character and authenticity that buyers are increasingly seeking, and the same sense of tight-knit community that defined Burleigh and Currumbin perhaps 10 or 15 years ago," Mould said.

"With Gold Coast Airport on its doorstep, it also offers a level of accessibility that broadens its appeal across almost every market demographic."

The project comes as the southern Gold Coast continues to attract an increasing share of high-end apartment development and buyer activity.

Kirra in particular has emerged as one of the region's more tightly held beachfront markets, with its relatively low-density character, established surf and hospitality scene and proximity to Gold Coast Airport differentiating it from the higher-density markets further north.

Mould said those characteristics had informed the approach MAYD and Cera Stribley had taken to the project.

"We've worked closely with Cera Stribley to create a vision that is deeply connected to its surroundings," he said.

"Inspired by the coastline itself, the architecture has been shaped around space, privacy and resort-style living, creating a collection of homes that reflects the next generation of luxury on the southern Gold Coast."

MOTIV Managing Director Carly Cottam, who has been appointed to market the project, said buyer attention had continued to move south along the Gold Coast.

"Purchasers who may once have defaulted to Broadbeach, Main Beach or Surfers Paradise are increasingly recognising the value of a genuine beachfront location that offers lower density, strong amenity and a more established sense of community," Cottam said.

"Kirra has a powerful combination of growing demand and genuine scarcity. Beachfront supply is inherently constrained, the area remains relatively low density, and buyers are increasingly placing a premium on locations that feel established, uncrowded and authentic rather than heavily developed."

Cottam said the proximity to Gold Coast Airport was also proving increasingly important for interstate and second-home buyers.

"Being minutes from Gold Coast Airport makes it particularly compelling for interstate buyers, frequent travellers and second-home purchasers who can access an authentic coastal lifestyle almost immediately after stepping off a flight."

The acquisition takes MAYD's active development portfolio to more than $500 million, with the North Kirra project representing one of its largest undertakings to date.

Castle Hill, the longtime hub of the Hills District, has been one of the major beneficiaries of Sydney's Metro expansion, with improved connectivity helping drive continued population growth, development and buyer demand across the Hills District.

But despite that growth, the suburb has seen relatively few major new apartment projects brought to market over the past 18 months.

It represents the largest project undertaken by Reve Group, the development arm of the Kassis family, which has been building across the Hills District for more than 30 years through Kassis Homes.

Nova Rêve also represents a significant step up from the family's first apartment development, Grand Rêve, which was delivered nearby on Garthowen Crescent.

Nova Rêve takes that approach to a precinct scale, combining the residential component with hospitality, retail and substantial public and resident landscaping.

Reve Group Managing Director Sam Kassis said the project reflected the family's three decades of building in the Hills, which has evolved from trophy homes on quarter-acre blocks to larger-scale apartment development.

"Grand Rêve was our first apartment project here and it showed us what this pocket of Castle Hill could be. Nova Rêve is the refinement of that idea: not just apartments, but a place the whole suburb can use," Kassis said.

A key part of that approach is the hotel, which has been designed to operate as an amenity for the wider Castle Hill community rather than solely hotel guests.

It will include restaurants, cafes, skybars and all-day dining, alongside conference and event facilities catering to business functions, community groups and private events.

At ground level, more than 1,600 sqm of shops and cafes will open onto the surrounding streets and landscaped areas.

Almost an acre of gardens designed by Land and Form Studios will run through the precinct, incorporating pathways, seating, barbecue areas and children's play spaces.

Reve Group's Romio Georges said creating an active ground plane had been central to the planning of Nova Rêve.

"There are gardens with pathways, barbecues, seating and play areas, shops and cafes opening onto the street, and a hotel with restaurants and a skybar that anyone in Castle Hill can walk into," Georges said.

The project's elevated position on one of Sydney's highest ridgelines will also provide apartments with outlooks toward the Sydney skyline, surrounding parkland and the Blue Mountains.

More than 80 per cent of the apartments will occupy corner positions, with Turner responsible for both the architecture and interiors.

From late 2025, eligible first home buyers in New South Wales will have access to a new federal government initiative aimed at addressing affordability: the Help to Buy Scheme.&nbsp;

<h2>What is the Help to Buy Scheme?</h2>

The program introduces a shared equity model intended to reduce the upfront cost of entering the property market, particularly in high-demand urban areas such as Sydney.

The scheme operates under a shared ownership structure in which the federal government takes an equity stake of up to 40 per cent for new homes, or 30 per cent for existing dwellings. This arrangement allows eligible buyers to significantly reduce their loan size and avoid the added cost of Lenders Mortgage Insurance (LMI).

Under this model, purchasers can enter the property market with as little as a two per cent deposit, well below the traditional 10 to 20 per cent usually required. The government’s contribution is not a loan but a co-ownership stake in the property. As such, there is no interest or rent charged on its portion.

Because the government’s equity combined with the buyer’s deposit typically meets or exceeds the 20 per cent threshold, LMI does not apply. The remaining balance, generally between 60 and 70 per cent of the property’s value, is financed through a standard home loan with a participating lender.

The government's equity in the property remains in place until the buyer chooses to repay it voluntarily or until the property is sold. Buyers can buy back the government’s share over time, in increments of at least five per cent, depending on their financial situation.

There is no fixed repayment timeline, but the amount to be repaid will be based on the property's market value at the time of repayment, not the original purchase price.

<h2>How do you qualify for the&nbsp;Help to Buy Scheme?</h2>

To qualify for the Help to Buy Scheme, applicants must meet the following conditions:

Yachtsman and sailing journalist Rob Mundle is selling his resort-style apartment in Main Beach, Queensland.
The north-facing <a href="/news">Main Beach</a> townhouse-style apartment is set over three levels and comes with a rooftop entertaining terrace with 360-degree views, master bedroom with balcony and ensuite, under-cover security parking, and resort facilities.
McGrath agent Duncan Longmore is looking to sell the property for more than $500,000 at its October 28 auction.
Mundle bought <a href="https://www.propertyobserver.com.au/https://www.mcgrath.com.au/buy/apartment-main-beach-qld-4217/167139" target="_blank">the property </a>for $500,000 in 2003.
Total outgoings for the property are $7,705 per year.
The apartment is in a boutique block of 16 apartments known as Woodroffe Place. A neighbouring apartment, listed at $380,000, rents for $380 per week.
The last sale in the building was in 2009 when unit six sold for $410,000.
And in 2008 a unit in the building sold for $445,000.

In Melbourne's eastern suburbs, the 1920s house, Bellarine, at 29-31 Deepdene Road, Deepdene was sold by Marshall White at auction for $4.55 million.

It was the weekend's highest result with the Real Estate Institute of Victoria reporting a clearance rate of 62% compared to 60% last weekend and 53% the same weekend last year.
There were 695 auctions reported to the REIV this weekend, with 431 selling and 264 being passed in, 155 of those on a vendor bid.
Four parties bid on <a target="_blank" href="https://www.marshallwhite.com.au/?pagecall=property&amp;propertyID=2168270">the 2,250 square metre Deepdene property </a>which was placed on the market at $4.05 million.
The gardens with a circular driveway have a north-south synthetic tennis court and solar-heated in-ground pool.
The home features a wide parquetry entrance hall, gracious formal living and dining rooms, plus library and study.
There are five upstairs bedrooms.
Auctioneer James Tostevin labelling its "one of the district's finest streets"  took a $3.3 million opening bid, according to the James Buyers Advocates report.
At its 1995 auction it was passed in at $918,000 and later sold for $935,000.

Deepdene's Bellarine sold by Marshall White for $4.55 million

The Waverton terrace occupied by the celebrated Australian poet Henry Lawson has been sold for $780,000.
It is one of the several 1860s Waverton semis with links – formally recognised with a plaque – to Lawson.
Its sold subsequent to its September auction through Tom Scarpignato of Sydney Boutique Property.
Lawson spent his last days at Abbotsford in 1922, but lived on Euroka Street between 1914 and 1921.
Locals suggest he rode billycarts up and down the hillside cul-de-sac.
He also helped maintained a<a href="https://www.propertyobserver.com.au/new-south-wales/henry-lawson-s-former-waverton-abode-listed/2012090556413"> community vegetable patch in the garden of the house </a> at 31 Euroka Street, which was the one for sale.

Henry Lawson's Waverton veggie patch house sells

After just two weeks on the market, Geoff Cousins, the adman-turned-environmental activist and author, has sold his six-bedroom beach house at Whale Beach.
With its rolling lawns flowing directly onto the sandy beach, the property's undisclosed snappy sale came as the offer price exceded its $13 million-plus expectations.
There were high hopes as its selling agent, <a href="https://www.propertyobserver.com.au/new-south-wales/geoff-cousins-seeks-%2413-million-plus-whale-beach-buyers/2012100857046">Raine &amp; Horne Palm Beach listing agent Glenn Lee</a>, was billing it as arguably one of the best beach houses in Australia.
Cousins paid $1.45 million for the Whale Beach Road property in 1987 and commissioned architect John Crawford to design the home, which on completion in 1991 with quintessential Australian beach elements was featured in Vogue Living.
Designed as three pavilions with living spaces adjoining vast timber decking, the weekend retreat suited the large family and stream of international guests who would visit over the summer.
<a href="https://www.palmbeachrealestate.com.au/sale/275whalebeach.htm">Offers were due November 14 </a>,with Lee now bettering the existing Whale Beach record of $13 million achieved for 245 Whale Beach Road in May 2007. Coincidentally that had been Cousins' previous northern beaches weekender, having sold to the late international photographer Richard Bailey for $1.5 million in 1994.
Cousins is the former head of Optus. As an environmental activist he helped mastermind the campaign against the Gunns pulp-mill in Tasmania.
He also authored The Butcherbird, a thriller novel.

Geoff Cousins snappily secures $13 million-plus Whale Beach buyers

Just as one luxury Circular Quay residential development gets put on hold, another is in the early stages of its long-anticipated office block redevelopment of the golden strip.
It follows the NSW government giving its provisional go-ahead for the demolition of the former Coca-Cola headquarters, at 71-79 Macquarie Street in what will be the final phase of the East Circular Quay redevelopment. 
AMP Capital's Louise Mason has asked five of the country's leading architectural firms to take part in the design competition for the property at the eastern end of Circular Quay adjacent to the Cahill Expressway.
AMP Capital and Mirvac have been negotiating with the NSW Planning Department and the City of Sydney given the tenants Coca-Cola Amatil moving to North Sydney two years ago.
Under the scheme, the dated office block at 71-79 Macquarie Street will be demolished making way for a "world-class" residential tower along with serviced apartments.
The proposed 19-storey tower will adjoin the hotel that was recently rebranded the Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour, having been initially known as the Quay Grand when developed by Mirvac. It was the former 1958 ICI House.
"This $300 million project will revitalise an important part of Circular Quay, significantly improving this landmark Sydney space for residents and visitors alike,” Mason says.
The development would "realise the original vision for the East Circular Quay precinct by completing the colonnade that extends along East Circular Quay from the Opera House”.
Ever since the early 1980s the then eight buildings along the East Circular Quay strip from 1 to 79 Macquarie were considered prime redevelopment space.
And by the late 1980s the bulk of East Circular Quay had been amalgamated by one of the long-term owners, the Melbourne-based life insurance office, Colonial Mutual Life.
It has cost the insurance company more than $250 million to buy three tired old buildings and two semi-dormant construction sites overlooking Circular Quay near the Opera House.
The grand scheme - which had been dreamed of for almost 20 years prior - was finalised when the Vaucluse property developer, Henry Roth, accepted an offer from CML's property investment manager, Fred Douglas.
Henry Roth had purchased the site in 1979 for a bargain $2.4 million and then had thwarted all attempts from developers to amalgamate the strip which runs from the Opera House forecourt to Moore Stairs, the sandstone steps that link the Botanic Gardens with the harbour.
The developer had once insisted he would sell only if the development included a penthouse for his use.
CML paid $86.8 million, a record $120,000 a square metre, for the nearby Unilever site which had been sold by the television newsreader-turned property developer David Brice who'd acquired the 1 Macquarie Street property site, in partnership with tourism supremo Adrian Zecha, from Peko Wallsend in 1988.
Among CML'S purchases was Hope House, which included the Sydney residence of the mining tycoon Lang Hancock.
The bulk of the amalgamated site became what's known as the Bennelong Apartments (aka The Toaster). 
Just along from East Circular Quay, last month the US private equity giant Blackstone shelved its prospective $1 billion luxury apartment project at Circular Quay.
The 1960s Goldfields House office block redevelopment has planning permission for the glitzy twin-tower development, 1 Alfred Street, which is set to expire in 2017. Last November <a target="_blank" href="https://www.propertyobserver.com.au/developments/shrouded-in-mystique-one-alfred-street-seeks-out-wealthiest-of-purchasers/2011111052313">Property Observer reported</a>
pricey apartments in the development were being marketed off market to multimillionaire Sydney buyers in a by-invitation-only marketing campaign.
The coveted 25-storey Sydney property overlooking Circular Quay has some of the best views in town and has been mooted for a luxury residential redevelopment for the past few years.
It’s one of the oldest office blocks on Circular Quay with property agents suggesting the value of apartments in and around Circular Quay would be upwards of $34,000 per square metre.
Apartments overlooking the Opera House have sold for as much as $16 million.
Blackstone secured the “super prime guru” Robert Booth, who had marketed Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, to test the depth of international interest but shelved the project, triggering speculation by The Australian Financial Review that the firm intends to offload the property at some point over the next few years.

As residential reigns, AMP finalising East CIrcular Quay office block redevelopment

 The Retirement Village Association and Property Council of Australia have announced their intention to merge.
Property Council of Australia chief operating officer Ken Morrison says the merger will give the industry body political muscle.
"With Australia set to have 5 million people over the age of 65 within 30 years, we need responsive and focused housing options for older people in this country," Morrison said.
The two boards have agreed to create a new leadership group – the Retirement Living Council – as a division of the Property Council to spearhead advocacy for the industry.
It will have represenatives of 20 of Australia’s leading for-profit and not-for-profit retirement industry firms.
"After months of productive discussions, the RVA and Property Council Boards have now unanimously endorsed a model to merge our two organisations, bringing together the breadth and experience of the RVA with the strength of the Property Council’s advocacy and member services around the country," said RVA chief executive Andrew Giles.
Giles said that the next step will be further consultation with RVA members before a formal resolution put to the AGM at the RVA National Conference on November 14.
"This package has been designed to benefit the whole industry - from the small-scale operators to the largest institutions," Giles said.

The Retirement Village Association and Property Council of Australia to merge

The back-pain specialist Sarah Key, the wife of bankrupt Sydney solicitor Russell Keddie, has offered $4.5 million to settle claims against her and her associated entities, according to the trustee of her husband’s bankrupt estate, Max Donnelly of Ferrier Hodgson.
The claims against her husband's bankruptcy estate total about $22 million. 
"I have recently become embroiled in circumstances not of my own choosing. In repaying my debts, I wish to make apology for any injustice or ill suffered," the physiotherapist says.
Key, who has been providing physiotherapy to the British royal family for 25 years, has offered:
<ul>
<li> The bankrupt’s 50% share in the Bungan Beach and Double Bay properties</li>
<li>Funds contributed by the bankrupt in capital improvements to the family trust property</li>
<li>Recovery of livestock sales banked to Fernleigh Enterprises</li>
<li>Recovery of 50% of assets owned by the Fernleigh Partnership</li>
<li>Keddie’s 2006 Range Rover</li>
<li>Plant and equipment valued at $26,000.</li>
</ul>
The financial woes of the Keddies' law firm, which was sold to Slater &amp; Gordon in 2010, stemmed from a Kate McClymont-reported Sydney Morning Herald investigation in 2008 that revealed the firm had previously overcharged many of its crippled and injured clients. About 100 clients have launched legal action. 
As the firm's principal, Russell Keddie was subsequently struck off for gross misconduct and declared himself bankrupt.
In August his bankruptcy trustee informed creditors that Keddie's attempt to ''defeat'' his obligations by transferring millions of dollars worth of property to his wife before his bankruptcy for $1 was likely to be overturned. For the sum of only $1 each, Russell Keddie transferred his half of his Double Bay home and a beach house overlooking Bungan Beach to his wife. She also took control of the couple's extensive rural interests, including Uloola, their cattle stud near Scone.
Taking pride of place at the end of an exclusive Double Bay cul-de-sac, the picturesque Wistonville was built in 1904 and recreated in the 1960s by distinguished architect Professor Leslie Wilkinson with harbour views. Set in gardens by Harris Hobbs Landscape Architects, it was briefly listed for sale in 2010 and could now fetch anywhere between its suggested $3.5 million value and $5 million. There is no suggestion yet of the likelihood of its relisting. It last traded at $430,000 in 1985.
The settlement does not include any claim the trustee may have on the London apartment that was transferred from Keddie to Key one month prior to his bankruptcy.
"This is a matter for further investigation," Donnelly says.
Donnelly says the payment will be in two tranches: $3 million within seven days and the balance of $1.5 million over a six-month period.
He expects the first dividend to be paid in December and the following dividend to be paid around May next year. A report to creditors detailing the situation is being sent out today.
"This is a very satisfying result, representing almost 100% of the claim the trustee had against Mrs Keddie and her entities without the cost or delay associated with litigation," Donnelly says.
"Mrs Keddie has been extremely cooperative and accepted the reality of the situation."

Sarah Key, bankrupt solicitor Russell Keddie's repentant wife, offers creditors $4.5 million

The former TV personality Steve Vizard has sold his St Kilda mansion, Clendore.
The three-storey Italianate Victorian with 17 rooms and a rooftop pool was sold on October 5, although the website marketing has continued.
It's been bought by former champion skateboarder and streetwear fashion entrepreneur Peter Hill, who directs Globe International.
Vizard and wife Sarah renovated the seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom home after paying $3.96 million in 2004.
The sale ends a year-long campaign to sell the Fitzroy Street property, <a href="https://www.propertyobserver.com.au/victoria/melbourne-businessman-steve-vizard-sticks-with-%248-million-plus-hopes-for-st-kilda-mansion-clendore/2012070855470">which was listed with $8 million-plus hopes</a>. No sale price has yet emerged.
There is a rooftop Paul Bangay-designed garden above the grand colonnaded building, which sits on a 782-square-metre Fitzroy Street block.
The mansion has a 15-person Schindler commercial double-door lift that connects all four floors.
One of the original three adjoining terraces was the home of Sir Graham Berry, the distinguished radical politician, for several years.
The Vizard family sold their Orrong Road, Toorak, mansion for about $17.75 million in 2007 to The Good Guys boss Andrew Muir.
It was listed through Gross Waddell Melbourne commercial agents Andrew Waddell and Jonathan McCormack, given its potential as offices, hotel/leisure or medical consulting rooms. Jock Langley and Tim Derham of Abercromby’s are the conjunctional agents.

Skateboarder Peter Hill snares Steve Vizard's Fitzroy Street St Kilda mansion

Corio in Geelong has the strongest yields for units for all regional postcodes in Victoria, according to RP Data figures.
With a median price of $155,000 and median rental figure of $240 per week, RP Data suggests the suburb has a yield of 8.05% for units.
Looking at what’s currently available it seems the yields aren’t quite as high as RP Data figures suggest though.
<a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-unit-vic-corio-110599481">Unit 7 at 51-53 Merlin Crescent</a> is listed for sale at $165,000-$175,000. The last asking rent for the property was $220 per week in February this year, giving a yield of 6.54% if it sells for the upper bracket.
And <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-unit-vic-corio-109715241">unit 1 at 82 Hendy Street</a> has been listed for sale at $189,000 to $199,000. Its last asking rent was $240 per week in July this year giving a yield of 6.27% if it sells for the upper bracket.
The suburb is followed by Ballarat Central, with yields of 6.88%, according to RP Data. It has a median price of $170,000 for units and a median rent of $225 per week.
Third is Mildura in north western Victoria, with unit yields of 6.66%. The median unit price is $148,000 and the median rent is $190 per week.
The top 15 rural postcodes with the highest yields for units are as follows.

It apparently comes with from vast expanses of Arabian-honed travertine tiling both indoors and out. The Caplans moved into the property in early 2006 on its completion. Designed by TS2, the Manor on Dendy townhouse sits on the corner of Manor and Dendy streets.  There's high ceilings and indoor-outdoor entertaining with a pool, spa, sauna, home cinema and a rooftop terrace. It comes with a self-contained guest suite.  Caplan retired in 2010 as the chairman of Shell Australia after being appointed the position in 2006. He worked for Shell for 42 years. Offers are due October 29 through Nicole Gleeson from Kay and Burton South Yarra. It was bought by Eva Caplan from the Summerfield family for $3.1 million.

It was sold by the Price  family. The house was set on an 844-square-metre block next to Kamesburgh Gardens. It came with five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a large study and three living zones. James Buyer Advocates described at as the best home in the street.

More than $1.9 million is expected at the November 10 auction of the Brighton home of Tim Bamford, the executive director of Major Projects Victoria. After three years, Bamford has decided to sell his sophisticated two-storey residence designed around two central courtyards. There's also a wrap-around self-cleaning salt chlorinated pool.  A Brighton lover, Bamford is down scaling in the area after selling  Whyte Street through Justin Follett at Kay &amp; Burton.

Ian is the son of billionaire John Gandel. It's been listed through Kay &amp; Burton agent Stewart Lopez. It was bought by Ian Gandel's wife, Linda, for $5.65 million in 2009. Designed by Nick McKimm, the four-bedroom three-level Cosham Street home with lift comes with impressive seven-car basement garage with turntable.

Located on Park Street amid established English gardens, the 1914 house sits on 2,219 square metres. The house comes with six bedrooms and five bathrooms. It's been home to the Bells for the past 20 years. The house comes with a large cellar, sauna, studio with a gymnasium and a rooftop retreat that offers views across the bay to the city skyline. After living there for 20 years, the Bells are downsizing. Greystones has been listed through Ian Jackson from Kay &amp; Burton Brighton with expressions of interest closing October 30.

The suggestion Warne might be a seller followed his now-confirmed purchase with Liz Hurley of Donnington Hall, the $9.2 million 13 room Georgian estate on the Gloucestershire-Herefordshire border. The Age's Suzanne Carbone has optimistically put the probable Brighton price as up to $20 million, giving him a tidy profit from the $8.55 million he bought it for three years ago, albeit after undertaking extensive renovations. Warne's purchase involved $7.55 million for the house plus $1 million for the adjacent holding when it was bought from Bruce and Elisabeth Garrett. The property, which is far from the beach, would set new price record in the bayside suburb if the late Victorian Italianate home sells for more than $15.6 million. Brighton is the most expensive suburb in Melbourne for house and unit prices, according to the Real Estate Institute of Victoria. The median house price in Brighton is $1.64 million, up 6.8% in the 2012 September quarter.
