Capital Corporation has appointed the multi-award winning, family-owned construction firm DASCO to deliver the first 128 apartments at The Residences at Wahroonga Estate, part of the largest master plan on Sydney’s Upper North Shore.

The $1.5 billion transformation of a 31.4-hectare site heralds a new era for Upper North Shore, with The Residences at Wahroonga Estate forming the cornerstone of a broader vision to create a world-class integrated health precinct centred around the San Hospital, Sydney’s largest private hospital.

Following recent interest rate cuts, demand for high-quality, low-maintenance apartment living in a leafy, connected setting has surged. The project has already generated over $90 million in sales, with two-thirds of the initial apartment release secured by local downsizers, professionals, and families.

This is the first partnership between Capital Corporation and DASCO, bringing together two award-winning property powerhouses in what promises to be a defining project for the region. Both companies boast three decades of experience, shared values of excellence and trust and a combined track record of delivering over 10,000 dwellings across Australia, with more than 5,000 currently in the pipeline.

Capital Corporation Managing Director Jim Hunter said DASCO’s reputation and capability made them the standout choice for this key project.

“We’re very pleased to be working with DASCO. Their commitment to quality and long-term community trust mirrors our own approach," Hunter says.

"The Residences at Wahroonga Estate will be a luxury landmark development for Sydney’s Upper North Shore, and we’re confident DASCO will help bring it to life with integrity and the highest standards of workmanship.”

DASCO’s impressive portfolio includes the highly acclaimed East Village in Zetland, which has garnered over 20 industry awards. For three consecutive years, DASCO has received a 4.5-star iCIRT rating, the highest awarded to a private construction company in Australia and further reinforcing their standing as one of the most trusted builders in the country.

Former NSW Building Commissioner David Chandler publicly commended DASCO as one of the first builders for its commitment to industry reform.

DASCO Director and Owner Daniel Nicolas called it a "privilege" to work with Capital Corporation and be appointed builder.

"We’re aligned in our passion for creating communities that evoke luxury, lifestyle and liveability and are excited to raise the bar for residential living on the North Shore.”

The broader master plan has already delivered several key outcomes, including the expansion of the San Hospital to 90,000 sqm, a new high school, retail and medical suites, and the ongoing construction of 15,000 sqm of student and key worker housing. The commencement of these 128 apartments marks the beginning of the development’s first residential stage.

With a strong track record on Sydney’s North Shore including Willoughby Grounds, St Leonards, Frenchs Forest and Roseville, the project will be DASCO’s largest build in the Upper North Shore to date.

Construction on the first 128 residences will commence in the coming months, with completion targeted for late 2027.
