Keith Wilton had spent years living in a house in East Maitland before deciding it was time for a change. Apartment living had always been on his radar, but he was selective about what he wanted.

Today, Keith says the move has completely changed how he experiences Newcastle.

For Aimee and Lyle Goodman, the journey started almost by chance.

"We were aware GWH was planning a development," Aimee says. "We made one phone call and things moved pretty quickly after that."

The Gold Award for Interior Design recognised the project's focus on long-term liveability rather than display-home aesthetics.

According to the awards submission, the interiors were designed from the inside out, prioritising how homes would function over decades of daily use through generous proportions, practical storage, durable natural materials and flexible layouts.

The specification includes natural stone throughout, upgraded acoustic glazing, V-ZUG appliances and fully enclosed storage rooms, alongside an amenity offering focused on wellness, entertainment and everyday convenience.&nbsp;

The apartment price gap drawing Sydney buyers west

A luxury beachfront apartment at Rainbow Bay has more than doubled in value since it sold off the plan six years ago, setting a new local apartment record in the process.

The three-bedroom apartment in the Flow development on Petrie Street, the first of four new projects locally by Paul Gedoun's S&amp;S Projects, has sold for $7.4 million, after originally selling for $3.27 million when the project launched in 2020.

The seventh-floor apartment, comprising 187 sqm of internal living space and a 54 sqm balcony overlooking Froggies Beach and Snapper Rocks, was purchased by a local family.

The transaction was negotiated by Pezet Matheson director Kerry Pezet and equates to more than $30,000 per sqm.

Pezet said the sale reflected the limited opportunities to buy into the boutique beachfront development.

"The sale highlights the rarity of opportunities within the boutique beachfront development, where residences seldom become available," Pezet said.

"Flow is one of the Gold Coast's most tightly held buildings. Buyers from our database move quickly when residences become available, and achieving an off-market sale at $7.4 million demonstrates the depth of demand for property of this calibre."

There was a $3.8 million opening bid.
Designed by architect Drew Heath, the eco-friendly family home offers five bedrooms and four bathrooms.

It was designed with Japanese influences.

Eco-friendly Bondi home sold at auction

The Noosa area has quietly clocked up its fourth $10 million plus sale of 2020.
A Noosa Heads riverfront on Mossman Court, built just last year by local go-to building designer Paul Clout, has sold for $10.91 million.
It's been bought by the little-known Karl Wenzel, the South African-born businessman who recently spent $5.28 million on Peppers Ruffles Lodge &amp; Spa at Willow Vale in the Gold Coast hinterland.
Documentation had him give his address as his longtime Mosman home.
There's little detail on Wenzel's most recent purchase, secured off-market through Tom Offermann Real Estate agent Tom Offermann.
A swimming pool sits in a central courtyard, with the main kitchen, living and dining space opening out to the river and private sandy beach.
Clout designed the home after the 610 sqm riverfront property traded for $4.2 million in 2017, then an original four bedroom home.
Mossman Court has been one of Noosa's most expensive streets in the last few years.
There's been 10 house sales over the last 18 months, each selling for at least $4 million.
It's the fourth property to sell for over $10 million in the Noosa LGA in 2020.
First there was the Hastings Street penthouse secured by Elizabeth Ring, the cashed-up ex-wife of Swisse Vitamins billionaire Stephen Ring, for $14 million.
Then Therese Rein bought the Sunshine Beach home Pat Rafter built and in June another Noosa riverfront sold for $11.2 million to Hamell Retail founders Daniel Burke and wife Kylee.
Hamell successfully established main street retail precincts in areas undergoing urban renewal throughout the 90s.

The four bedroom, two bathroom house at <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-nsw-hastings+point-134239842" target="_blank">2 Peninsula Street </a>was sold for $4.45 million to Australian expats living in Hong Kong who inspected via FaceTime. 
It was sold by Dominique Vasers Williams from Queensland Sotheby's International Realty Main Beach. 
In the 1960s it was a beach shack. The current owners bought the property in the late 1990s and built a home designed by architect Scott Carpenter

Hastings Point beachfront trophy home sold for $4.45 million

Byron Bay's hot property market has continued its bull run, with a Wategos Beach home reportedly smashing the township's price record after less than a week formally on the market.
The luxury home at the pricey end of town secured just shy of the top end of its $20 million to $22 million guide.
The Marine Parade property was listed by the recruitment industry veteran Geoff Morgan, co-founder of Morgan &amp; Banks, and his wife Roslyn.
It was a second record for the home, which topped the Byron Bay price charts when the Morgan's bought it for $1.24 million in 1994.

They had architect Timothy Moon redesign the home on the 665 sqm, toward the coveted end of Marine Parade facing Wategos Beach.

The sale, secured by LH Hooker Byron Bay agent Glenn Irwin and LJ Hooker Avnu agent Michael Coombs, in conjunction with Helene Adams and Vanessa Cole, of First National Real Estate Byron Bay, tops the previous high, set last year when Eli Havas, the wife of F45 founder Adam Gilchrist, paid $18.85 million for Wategos House, down the road, from developer Danny Goldberg.
The whisper of its sale leaked so quickly the national listing sites still had it available for sale.
