Sydney developer <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/developers/deicorp">Deicorp</a> has secured planning approval for a $300 million residential development in Lindfield, marking the company’s second project on Sydney’s North Shore and its first on the Upper North Shore.

Located on Beaconsfield Parade and designed by DKO Architecture, the state significant development comprises three buildings of up to 10 storeys and will include 399 residences, including 59 affordable homes and 40 adaptable homes.

Residences will range in size from one, two and three bedrooms, with two-bedroom apartments accounting for over 60 per cent of the product make-up. Residents will have access to a broad suite of amenities, including a wellness area, indoor and outdoor recreational spaces, a pool, a gym, a community room and a golf simulator.

In line with Deicorp’s long-standing focus on creating transit-oriented communities, the project is located just 260 metres from the Lindfield Train Station, reinforcing its role in delivering well-connected housing close to established infrastructure, retail and local services.

David Malouf, the internationally acclaimed author, has sold his long held Chippendale terrace before its weekend auction.
The <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/sold/property-house-nsw-chippendale-126511086" target="_blank">Myrtle Street home</a>, marketed as the matriarch of the street due to its rare six metre wide presence, sold after it spent 19 days on the market.
It's expected to have fetched around $2.2 million, some profit for the home that cost $175,000 in 1985.

Malouf bought the home the same year he published his memoirs, 12 Edmondstone Street.

The Venetians bass guitarist turned Zurich financier Peter Watson has sold his Chippendale warehouse conversion for $1.25 million before its scheduled auction.
It had an early price guide of $980,000.
Watson paid $365,000 in 1999 for the two bedroom, north-facing apartment set in the Chippen Mews complex.
He's updated it since, with a renovated kitchen and a mirrored feature wall.
The Venetians were a 1980's synthpop act who released three albums, with their single So Much For Love, making the singles chart in 1986.
