The former 2UE helicopter pilot David Jones and wife Charlotte Harvey-Jones have sold their Seagate, Neutral Bay waterfront home.

The four-bedroom property on 383 square metres last traded in 2002 for $2.8 million and before that $2.035 million in 1999.

More than $4 million had been expected through Richard Harding and Geoff Smith of LJ Hooker Mosman.

Most of the rooms open onto landscaped gardens and sunny terraces. And it offered boating enthusiasts a sandstone landing, ramp and boatshed.

The other duplex villa on 424 square metres sold for $4.5 million in 2008 and at $1.56 million in 1998.
