Mosman’s latest auction listing comes with the 2011 HIA Australian Kitchen of the Year.

The contemporary Wolseley Road offering is marketed as a luxurious entertainer with an easy-living sun-swept design, which effortlessly fuses internal and external spaces.

Perched on Balmoral Slopes, the four-bedroom house is scheduled for May 24 auction by the Shaw family, who paid $3.4 million in 2008 for the 523-square-metre holding.

Locals are saying they expect about $5 million.

It was in the rental pool last year initially with $10,000 a week hopes, which were revised to $8,500 a week asking price.

The kitchen was designed and manufactured by Art of Kitchens. Its mirrored kicks give the illusion the kitchen is floating according to the designers, who also went with mirrored splashbacks.

The LJ Hooker marketing barely shows the kitchen images, so best pop along to the Saturday afternoon open for inspections. And take a cheque for about $5 million.
