Kingsclere, Potts Point penthouse sold

It's taken a year but Michael Hannan, of the publishing family, has sold his Potts Point penthouse for $2,975,000.
It’s in the Kingsclere building, the landmark 1912 Edwardian-style residential block.
It's a four-bedroom, 25-square apartment located on the corner of Macleay Street and Greenknowe Avenue.
The penthouse was marketed through Richardson & Wrench agents Jason Boon and Geoff Cox.
Hannan bought it in 2011 for $3.45 million from Paul Uren, of Goldman Sachs JBWere, and his wife, Jennifer, who had initially expected $4 million plus.
North facing and creatively rebuilt by Burley Katon Halliday and George Freedman, the penthouse was marketed as "offering glamourous New York inspired living in the heart of Sydney's uber chic Potts Point."
It's been available for rent at $1,950 a week because the doctor tenant has just bought closer to the Paris end of Macleay Street securing entreprenuer James Vaile's apartment on the corner of Rockwall Crescent for $3.6 million through Di Jones Real Estate agents Gary Sands and Jane Schumann.
It had traded at $3 million in 2011, with a subsequent Darryl Gordon redesign.
