Golf champion Geoff Ogilvy sells US home

The former U.S. Open golf champion Geoff Ogilvy has sold his home in Del Mar, which was listed for sale at $US6.475 million earlier this year.
It sold for $5.95 million last month.
The home, north of the Torrey Pines Golf Course in Olde Del Mar, is a residence of 4,633 square feet, with a pool and a tennis court.
Records show that the Del Mar property was offered for as much as $6.75 million in March. It is an affluent beach city in San Diego County, California.
Ogilvy and his wife, Juli, purchased the home with coastline views in 2009 for $4.15 million. Brett Combs of Pacific Shore Platinum was the listing agent of the three floor home with four bedrooms and four bathrooms.
Ogilvy, 37, failed to make the cut at the 2014 U.S. Open. He won the Open in 2006, besting Jim Furyk, Colin Montgomere and Phil Mickelson by one stroke.
