The NSW holiday home of Peter and Divonne Holmes à Court passed in at its weekend auction.

Set about one hour south of Sydney, the four-bedroom oceanfront home at Stanwell Park attracted no bids.

It comes with Luigi Roselli-designed and council-approved plans for extensive additions.

Due to spending more time in Europe, the Holmes à Court family have decided they won't build their dream beach house extension on the 1,568-square-metre Kallaroo Avenue site.

Its McGrath Thirroul listing agent Amanda Moore had expected $2.1 million plus bidding when it was auctioned in conjunction with LJ Hooker Helensburgh.

It last traded at $2.1 million in 2008.
