The luxurious appointments feature custom American oak joinery.
There’s also C-Bus 2 intelligence system with automated blinds and curtains.
The sale price has not been disclosed but Property Observer gathers it was about $5.3 million.
The Bondi Beach prestige unit market still awaits formal public valuation confirmation of the September 2012 sales marketing of the nearby complex, the Pacific Bondi Beach.
But observers have noted the sale of apartments in the Pacific Bondi Beach - credited as Sydney's most successful post-global financial crisis apartment sales marketing campaign - secured prices per square ranging from about $15,000 to $45,000.
And the developer says prices have gone up even further since last spring.

The Mohonga mansion in South Yarra has been sold, but without price disclosure. It was the longtime home of the late Peter Rand, the highly eccentric millionaire property investor.
Court hearings in the Victorian Supreme Court were underway earlier this year regarding the estate, the latest chapter in the litigious history of the estate of Peter Thomas Evan Rand, now in its 15th year. He was the son of the late Sir Thomas Rand and <a href="/news/vic/mohonga-south-yarra-underbelly-trophy-home-sells">the South Yarra property's name</a> is derived from pastoralist relative, Robert Rand's Mohonga station in regional NSW.
Peter Rand owned and operated brothels and court records suggest he preferred to minimise, even avoid, his obligations to pay tax.
Officially Rand left an estate declared in the probate application at $19 million, comprising mostly Victorian real estate.
The seven-bedroom Domain Road property built in the 1920s by architect Irwin Stephenson was the city abode - owned by Rand since the 1960s.
Situated on 1,058 square metres, the property features five bathrooms, two kitchens, several living rooms and an upstairs terrace with views to Richmond.
In 1993, Rand made the news by paying almost $700,00 for the property next door to cut down a tree that was blocking his own house’s view.
The South Yarra property was listed through Carla Fetter of <a href="https://www.jelliscraigbm.com.au/property/SOUTH-YARRA-268-&amp;-268B-Domain-Road/5478299/#.Ua6BauBAt6o" target="_blank">Jellis Craig Bennison Mackinnon Armadale.</a>
Mohonga was part of a $50 million property portfolio which also included the Sisters estate in Sorrento which sold to the Shelmerdine family for $19 million in 2008.
There was an older-style 42 apartment complex that fetched $11 million on Power Street, Hawthorn in 2008.
Numerous specific devises and bequests were made by the will with the residue held on trust principally for, as to income for life, Douglas Claiborne and Michael Aquilina, each of whom had an intimate personal relationship with Rand.
Mr Aquilina lived with Rand in South Yarra. Mr Claiborne, who abused drugs and could not responsibly look after money and property, then lived in Hawaii, according to a 2012 court judgement by Justice Dixon after issues arose with apartments in Hawaii and Thailand.
Rand outlaid $1.189 million purchasing the five Hawaiian apartments. Three of these apartments were in Aloha Towers, the other apartments were in Aloha Lani and at 444 Nahua Street, Honolulu. Rand also acquired two condominiums in the Jomthien Complex Condotel in Thailand.
Mark "Chopper" Read in his autobiography wrote that if Melbourne ever had a true Mr Big of crime, of vice at any rate, then Peter Rand deserved the championship belt. Interestingly the patsoralist Robert Rand was a character too. Many stories are told of his ability to handle cattle, and it is said on one occasion he astonished drovers who came to take delivery of a mob of fat cattle by insisting on doing the cutting-out himself at the various cattle camps, and he did it without either stockwhip or dog, merely walking his horse through the mob.
Then there was a report that an alleged son of the Robert Rand made a claim on "the great property of the deceased" in 1895.
Rand had resided at Mohonga in the Urana district for about 46 years having taken up the property in 1849. Rand, who had landed in the colonies from Hadleigh, Suffolk as a mere boy, was known at Albury as a bacholor. He died aged 75 years intestate, the only attempt at a will in 1852, but never signed. The reported total value which included Mohonga and Urangeliue stations was about £500,000. The claimant stated the deceased had married before leaving England that he separated from his wife, but there was issue by the marriage.
But Australian News suggested that the claim he was married before arriving in Australia was the height of absurdity. And nor did the deceased ever return to England after coming to Australia. Too busy building his sheep numbers up to 290,000 presumably.

Mohonga, South Yarra "Underbelly" trophy home sells

The developers of the Pacific Bondi Beach complex are close to securing a two-penthouse combined record sale totalling $21 million plus.
The boutique investment fund manager Will Vicars is behind the acquistion of two of the seven apartments on the sixth floor of the Campbell Parade complex that will replace the existing Swiss-Grand Resort &amp; Spa.
Title Tattle gleans the sale price is somewhere between $21 million and $22 million. 
It's known that ever since he was a boy, Will Vicars has loved the beach at Bondi, so when he saw the plans for the penthouses, or "lighthouses'' as they are being marketed, he knew to buy one last September. And it now seems he's decided to buy the adjoining of what he called "an oasis within an oasis."
Will Vicars, a director of Caledonia Investments, a low-key boutique fund manager, looks after the money of several of Australia's richest families.
The sale was the talk of last night's charity Gold Dinner fund raiser dinner for the Sydney Childrens Hospital, Randwick.
The developers have also been marketing a double apartment combination - as a $25 million to $29 million penthouse - since March this year with a BKH fitout spanning about 600 square metres with 40 metres of beach-facing frontage which will be Australia’s highest-priced apartment.
Earlier this week the South African group, Redefine Properties invested $50?million in preferred equity in the development of the $400?million Pacific Bondi Beach complex. The investment play was by South Africa’s second-biggest real estate developer whose equity will help the Sydney developers Eduard Litver of Capit.el Group and Allen Linz of Rebel Property Group commence construction by October.
It has been previously been reported that seven of the 19 lighthouses luxury apartments had pre-sold, at prices ranging from $3 million to $10.5 million. Some 82 of the 94 apartments have reputedly now been sold.

Lighthouses that face away from the beach sold initially at prices reflecting about $16,000 per square metre.
But prices for beach-facing stock had reportedly initially fetched $45,000 per square metre.

Allan Linz told the departing AFR reporter Ben Wilmot this week that that the mood of luxury buyers had picked up this year and recent apartment sales had been 25% above initial pricing.
The developers are negotiating with a boutique operator for the 69 luxury serviced apartments which will be taken to market in July.

The luxury $28.75 million home in Point Piper was bought by his wife around the time of the Allco-Rubicon deal.

Pacific Bondi Beach record $21 million sale will buoy Sydney prestige penthouse market

Angus Raine, the Raine &amp; Horne chief executive office, will take on the additional role of executive chairman of the real estate group.
He will be taking over from real estate veteran Max Raine who has led the family-owned and operated firm since 1950.
“Angus is well placed for his new role as he’s been in the industry for 26 years, enabling him to see the peaks and troughs of the market,” says Raine &amp; Horne non-executive board member Doug McCluskey.
“He has also won numerous real estate awards during his real estate agency career, and is well qualified, especially since graduating from Harvard Business School in 2009.”

More than $1.5 million, then about $1.6 million had been suggested as the likely price of an 1880s Balmain sandstone cottage with two-storey modern makeover at the rear.
About 145 groups had inspected the three-bedroom cottage before its March auction.
It has now been sold - and for $1.7 million through BresicWhitney agents Ercan Ersan and Melinda Antella.
The renovation time similarly spiralled, taking two years after Omar and Luciana Martinez bought the 15 Booth Street property for $980,000 in 2011.
The Martinezes had not renovated before but saw the prospect of restoring its sandstone facade, bring light into the home, and extend with a contemporary, open-plan living space by their architect Brad Inwood.
Site excavation into solid sandstone was required before a new concrete slab could be laid.
With the time delays on planning approvals and then on the excavation the reported budget moved from $350,000 to $450,000, according to a Fairfax Media article.
The old house plan showing the sewer pipe running under the house when it actually was along the back of the block, shaved off around $20,000 in envisaged expenses.
RP Data records show it was briefly available for rent earlier this year at $1295 a week.

Gordon Fell secures $5.8 million Hastings North Bondi penthouse sale

Valuers Herron Todd White have suggested the forecast for the next four to six years across metropolitan Sydney was overall positive.
However the firm does not expect to see the very high levels of capital growth witnessed over past years.
"Due to the different markets we see throughout the city, we could write a novel on different price points and sectors that offer good growth options." 
Sydney’s inner west is expected to have "continued strong growth" over the next four to six years, the group forecasts.
"The average buyer looking for a detached dwelling in these suburbs may find themselves among some stiff competition.
"Detached dwellings achieve very good prices as they are scarce and sought after," the report said noting large variations in detached dwellings sitting on between 100 square metres to 1,000 square metres of land.
"If we specify a typical inner west suburb such as Leichhardt, a detached dwelling, on an average block size of 250 square metres, the average buyer would be spending around the $1 million mark."
For inner west units, HTW suggests the average buyer would be looking around the $600,000 mark for a 1970s, two-bedroom unit with a single carspace.
"At this price point though, we would expect good growth over the coming years as these properties become more in demand.
"Market sentiment remains very positive in this sector with properties often selling before going to auction and above the advertised asking price.
"Currently there is a lack of stock in the inner west which, with continued high demand, is helping drive these prices even higher," it noted adding that investors are very much active in the unit market at this price point due to attractive yields and extremely low vacancy rates.
The report concludes that overall, the Sydney metropolitan area is expected to see "steady capital growth" over the next four to six years.
"There are numerous suburbs that are talked about as the next area to take off; however any area with good infrastructure and proximity to services is bound to be a good performer.
"The average buyer needs to be prepared for stiff competition as low interest rates and current lack of stock in the general market will continue to put supply/ demand pressure on prices," it said.

Inner west Sydney detached hard to come by, but best prospect for growth: Herron Todd White

The Little Bourke Street, Melbourne building that accommodates Longrain Restaurant has been listed with $4.75 million expectations.
There's a 1022-square-metre building on the 511 square metre holding. It has face red brick with a gabled roof, terminated by an elegant parapet.

The 1900 building was once the Angliss &amp; Co stables for the butcher William Angliss. 
William Angliss opened his first butcher shop in North Carlton in 1886, before moving to larger premises in Bourke Street in 1892.
Angliss went on to establish a vast empire of pastoral stations and was a dominant force in the local meat and frozen meat export trade, which was centered on his Imperial Freezing Works at Footscray, opened in 1905.
The Bourke Street premises, which operated as a butchers shop, remained the headquarters for Angliss throughout his career.
Heritage Victoria notes in order to provide accommodation for horses and vehicles used in the delivery of meat to city customers, in 1900 Angliss built the substantial two-storied brick stables in Little Bourke Street, close to the rear of his Bourke Street premises.
"Carts and wagons were parked on the ground floor and horses ascended to the first floor via a ramp.
"The first floor had accommodation for about 45 horses. It was claimed afternoon sightseers gathered daily to watch the horses as they were unharnessed and safely mounted up the incline."
No other two storey examples where horses were stabled on the first floor are known to exist.
With leasing options, Longrain seems committed to remain until 2035.
Its previous owners include the Hoffman family and the Schleicher family.

Adelaide's Carly and Leighton, the House Rules contestant couple, revealed their $450,000 mortgage - and potential prize - on last night's show. The mortgage was secured to buy a 1957 sandstone house in Warradale.
The South Australian couple actually paid $450,000 for the house which had been listed with $485,000 hopes in May 2012, Property Observer gleaned.
Set on block of almost 700 square metre, the freestone home (pictured below) was marketed as offering "outstanding potential."

An 1880s timber cottage that has survived Kangaroo Point's transformation from riverside suburb to high-density apartment precinct is set to become the centrepiece of <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/developers/zephyr">Zephyr Group</a>'s proposed Banksia development.

Rather than see the locally heritage-listed Alpha Cottage as an obstacle to navigate, plans integrate the landmark home into a new 18-storey residential tower, giving one of the suburb's oldest surviving residences a new role as the project's communal hub.

The development application covers a 1,177 sqm amalgamated site at 127-133 Lambert Street and 30 Shafston Avenue, where Zephyr Group plans to deliver 64 apartments above three basement levels. Designed by <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/architects/joe-adsett-architects">Joe Adsett Architects</a>, the proposal carefully weaves the retained heritage cottage into a contemporary residential scheme, with the tower elevated above the historic building to preserve its presence within the Lambert Street streetscape.

Named after the native Australian Banksia flower, the project draws inspiration from its distinctive form through curved balconies, sculpted planter boxes and cascading subtropical landscaping that soften the building's profile.

As the design report explains: "The tower's identity is defined by its feature facade, drawing direct inspiration from the Banksia wildflower. The building departs from traditional rigidity through the use of elegant, GRC-moulded planter boxes that appear as if shaped by the breeze."

Plans propose 64 apartments, comprising 32 two-bedroom and 32 three-bedroom residences, across an 18-storey tower. Residents would have access to rooftop amenities including a swimming pool, spa, gym, sauna, private cinema, dining spaces and landscaped recreation areas, while more than half the site is dedicated to planting and open space.

The heritage component is the defining feature of the proposal. Constructed in the early 1880s and occupied from at least 1883, Alpha Cottage is recognised by Brisbane City Council as an important surviving example of Kangaroo Point's nineteenth-century residential development and as a representative transverse-gable timber cottage. Despite extensive redevelopment across the peninsula, the building has retained a high degree of its original form and internal fabric.

As part of the redevelopment, the cottage will be carefully relocated a short distance within its original allotment to facilitate construction before being returned to a prominent position along Lambert Street. Original verandah elements will be dismantled, catalogued and reinstated, while significant internal features, including timber flooring, wall linings, joinery, doors, windows and hardware, will be retained. Later additions, including the enclosed rear verandah, will be removed to better reveal the building's original form.

Once restored, Alpha Cottage will accommodate the building manager's office, mail room and parcel facilities, providing an active everyday use that supports its long-term conservation rather than preserving it as a static display. The heritage strategy also maintains landscaped space around the building, allowing it to remain visually distinct beneath the new tower.

The Heritage Impact Assessment concludes that "the proposal secures the ongoing occupation, maintenance and conservation of Alpha Cottage," finding the development would result in "no more than a minor impact on the cultural heritage significance" of the building while ensuring its long-term future.

Joe Adsett Architects have designed the tower to sit above the heritage building rather than overwhelm it, creating a clear visual separation between old and new. The development's flowing balconies, integrated planting and organic façade respond to Brisbane's subtropical climate while complementing the restored cottage below.

Banksia occupies a prominent corner in Kangaroo Point within walking distance of the Kangaroo Point Bridge, Brisbane River, ferry services, QUT, the CBD and the Woolloongabba precinct. The site also benefits from direct access to active transport infrastructure and sits within an area earmarked for continued higher-density residential growth.

It's within this established pocket that developer Ricdanic is delivering <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/new-apartments/wimba-ave-kew-9-11-wimba-avenue-kew-vic-3101">Wimba Ave</a>, a boutique collection of just 13 residences across two buildings named after its location on the tree-lined Wimba Avenue,&nbsp;within one of Kew's most prestigious pockets where homes have been known to sell up to and above $8 million.

The residences prioritise the space that buyers are increasingly searching for but struggling to find in established suburbs. Living areas extend beyond five metres in width, ceiling heights range from three to five metres, and apartments open onto private gardens averaging around 125 sqm. Selected residences also feature balconies of approximately 60 sqm, while premium inclusions include Miele appliances, double-glazed windows, EV readiness, fully electric systems and a 7.2 NatHERS energy rating.

Architect Chris Idle says opportunities to deliver homes of this scale within established suburbs have become increasingly uncommon.

"There are very few opportunities to do these kinds of developments in leafy, established suburbs," he says. "To get this level of amenity, natural light, and architectural freedom in such a setting is extremely rare."

The architecture draws on Kew's established character through the use of handmade Krause bricks, while landscaping by John Patrick introduces 23 plant species, including nine native varieties, creating an environment which focuses just as much on nature as it does the building.

Construction on Wimba Ave is well underway by renowned high-end builder Sinjen, with completion expected in late 2027. Prices start from $2.22 million.
