One of the most significant beachfront projects ever proposed for the small suburb of Miami on the Gold Coast, has taken a major step forward.&nbsp;Monaco Property Group has secured approval for <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/new-apartments/nalu-miami-122-marine-parade-qld-4220">NALU</a>, a $500 million development comprising just 45 ultra-luxury residences on the iconic former Nobby’s Outlook site.

Acquired by <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/developers/monaco-property-group">Monaco Property Group</a> in 2024 for $70 million, the rare 7,238 sqm Marine Parade parcel boasts more than 80 metres of uninterrupted ocean frontage.

With approvals now secured, Monaco Property Group will move NALU into its delivery phase. The project has been designed by&nbsp;<a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/architects/bda-architecture">BDA Architecture</a>, who collaborated with&nbsp;<a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/landscape-architect/ldg-landscape-architecture">LDG Landscape Architecture</a> and <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/interior-designers/tom-mark-henry">Tom Mark Henry Interiors</a>&nbsp;to create the low-rise building, its landscaping, and interiors.

At the heart of the project is a 2,200 sqm lifestyle precinct with a bathhouse, fitness centre and resort-style pool, elevated by a concierge service.

Jonathan Grasso, Co-Founder of Monaco Property Group, said the council approval marks an exciting milestone for NALU, which will launch in Q1 2026.

$200 million Corallo Palm Beach launches with limited apartment release

In a move that aligns with NSW's accelerated planning incentives for affordable housing, developer&nbsp;<a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/developers/the-one-collection">One Collection</a> has revised its Hills District apartment plans, and taken it to the NSW Government, to secure approval.

The developer, which is currently delivering Horizon Hurstville, is seeking to add 80 more apartments to its <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/new-apartments/the-one-castle-hill-16-dawes-avenue-nsw-2154">Castle Hill development</a> near Castle Towers. They already have approval for 280 apartments across eight six-storey buildings.

Now on the desks of the NSW Department of Planning is 360 apartments, 48 of which will be dedicated to affordable housing.&nbsp;Affordable housing is to be “fully integrated within the building and visually indistinguishable,” according to the planning submission.

The 15,697 sqm block, an amalgamation of 16 sites, spans across Dawes Avenue, Hughes Avenue, and Camdan Crescent, sits 550m from Hills Showground Metro Station.&nbsp;

"The existing context is quickly changing from free-standing homes into residential flat buildings in line with the Hills Showground Precinct planning framework," Place Studio noted.

They said the design was informed by the site's unique condition of having three street frontages and was developed to to respond sensitively to iots surrounding context.

"The design adopted a conventional perpendicular alignment to the primary street frontage. The massing of the development was carefully modulated to align with the evolving character of the neighbourhood. The design ensured that the scale was not excessive or out of context, but instead contributed to a cohesive urban form consistent with emerging developments in the area."

The apartment mix will be 46 one-beds, 168 two-bed apartments, and 146 three-bedroom units, with 631 parking spaces proposed.

Along the street frontages, the building heights are four storeys with a 7.5 metre setback, and eight storeys with an 11.5 metre setback. It should cost about $150 million to build.

The Melbourne Storm are set to launch their own branded home loan service.
It is set to pioneer sporting clubs offering its members access to financial products.
The Storm is launching Storm Money in partnership with the private My Local Broker.
My Local Broker will be the funder of the loans. My Local Broker is owned by Gerry Ryan, a part-owner and director of the Storm.
The Storm will share commissions. The members will be offered deals from about 40 or so different loan providers.
Storm chief executive Dave Donaghy said the concept arose from a survey of the club’s 25,000 members this year about their financial priorities.
“We looked at our sponsorship portfolio and found we had a gap in the banking sector,” Mr Donaghy told The Australian.
Almost 40 per cent of Storm members have home loans and close to 60 per cent told the club they were looking to refinance within a year, with 40 per cent saying they’d be likely or highly likely to change if offered an exclusive deal from a Storm sponsor.

The couple had $1395-a-week tenants there after moving 500 metres closer to the sand.

Curl Curl prices have ranged from $1,675,000 to $3 million this year, with the median price for a four-bedroom house in Curl Curl sitting at $2.28 million, according to realestate.com.au. That’s up from $1.6 million in 2014.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs legend Greg Inglis has sold his former Coogee home having pulled it from auction and reduced its price hopes.
Buyers were being told they’d need to offer $2.5 million to <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/sold/property-house-nsw-coogee-131104790" target="_blank">secure the Federation semi</a> after it was initially listed for auction on June 1 with a guide of $2.8 million.
The home sold within 29 days of its listing, well ahead of the current 50 day Sydney average on market time.
McGrath Coogee agent Marnie Seinor secured the sale but said she couldn’t disclose its sale price.
“It holds a prized corner parcel in a coveted Coogee street, just metres from buzzing cafes, shops and the beach,” she said.
“The immaculately kept Federation semi celebrates relaxed coastal living,” she added.

Coogee, with a current $2.6 million median house price, has seen a compound growth rate of 8.5 percent for houses over the past five years.
It was just a two bedroom, 1910 built Federation, but now still behind a traditional facade, extended to now have four bedrooms and two bathrooms across its three levels.
Since its listing Inglis has struggled with personal issues after retiring earlier this year from rugby league following a stellar 14 year on field career.
The former South Sydney captain has been admitted to a mental health facility to deal with the issues he has been facing.
His close friends Justin Hodges recently encouraged Inglis to get his life back on track for the sake of his young family after seeing “the hurt in his eyes”.
“He’s doing it very tough. Everything hit him at once; his marriage break-up and then his retirement came quickly, quicker than what he expected.”

It sold within 18 days of its listing through Ray White for $2.12 million to a local family who were downsizing.

Bennett's Brisbane home sits just one street back from the Brisbane River.
Bennett met Cage during his two year stint as head coach at Newcastle Knights when Cage was working as a secretary at a performance physiotherapy clinic.
He coached the Broncos for 21 consecutive seasons from their first season in 1988, during which he resided much of the time at a home at Mount Ommaney.
His NSW coaching stints have been in the Illawarra and Newcastle districts, neither of which appeared to have ignited any passion for property.
Cage said the couple looked all over Brisbane when we were looking to buy "from Ascot and Hamilton and we both fell in love with this house together".
“It’s a warm, inviting and modern home and it’s made for entertaining,” Cage said.
“It’s a wonderful street we live in, there’s good company all around. It’s a great house too that is very low maintenance.
“As soon as we walked in we knew it was right for us, and it would suit a big family as it’s got a heated pool and four big bedrooms, two of which are ensuited.”

It had been expected to fetch about $1.5 million.
Finch, who had a long career in the NRL, playing 330 total games in the league, and his wife Elli Johnston are not set to buy a family home.
