It’s been 15 long years since the former Balmain Leagues Club was open to the public. The large 7,330 sqm Victoria Road site had grown progressively more derelict since the doors to the former club shut back in 2010.

Earlier this year, the vertically integrated developer PERIFA, part of the Versatile Group of companies, stepped in and acquired the site, quickly getting to work on construction through its building business Versatile Construction.

A Mount Eliza estate agency and its director and officer in effective control have each been penalised $8,500 for contravening Victorian estate agent laws.
The Frankston Magistrates’ Court found that between June 2015 and March 2016, Helen Sly, 64, of Mount Eliza, knowingly authorised or permitted Bay Life Properties to:

<li>cause a deficiency in its trust accounts, ranging from $500 to $58,000, by not having sufficient funds in the trust account at all times</li>

The last parcel of Sir Reginald Ansett's former Mt Eliza estate has been listed with expectations around $40 million by Equity Trustees, which manages the R.M. Ansett Trust.
<a href="https://www.realcommercial.com.au/property-land+development-vic-mount+eliza-502611214" target="_blank">The 22 hectare parcel</a> has limited direct access to Moondah beach.
The area is covered by a green wedge zoning that limits future development on the site between Kunyung Road and Albatross Avenue.

The offering is adjacent the 8.9-hectare former home of University of Melbourne's Melbourne Business School which sold last year to New Zealand's Ryman Healthcare for around $40 million for an aged care facility.
The trust's 22.3-hectare block sits between Moondah and Sir Reginald's original residence, the 11 hectare estate Gunyong Valley, which the trust sold in 2006 for $14.5 million.

It was once Nick Columb's horse stud until sold in 1993 for around $2.25 million.
Stretching from Nepean Highway to the sands of Sunnyside Beach, the property that features an 1860s mansion is being marketed by CBRE with a development permit for a 72-room hotel.
Last September, New Zealand's Ryman Healthcare, a retirement village operator, bought the nearby Mount Eliza Estate from the University of Melbourne for $37.5 million.
