<a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/developers/s-p-setia">SP Setia</a> has lodged plans for a $750 million, three-tower mixed-use precinct that would complete the long-running redevelopment of Carlton's former Carlton United Breweries site.

The proposal at <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/new-apartments/185-195-queensberry-street-carlton-vic-3053">46-78 Bouverie Street and 185-195 Queensberry Street</a> spans a 6,468 sqm site, the last remaining undeveloped parcels within the former brewery's 2007 masterplan.

Designed by <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/architects/cox-architecture">COX Architecture</a>, the development will comprise two purpose-built student accommodation towers and a third build-to-sell apartment tower above a shared commercial podium and basement.

Across the three towers, SP Setia is proposing 606 build-to-sell apartments and 1,499 student accommodation units containing 2,009 beds.

The apartments will sit in the tallest tower, which will rise nearly 200m and 55 storeys. It will become&nbsp;one of the more substantial new build-to-sell apartment projects at the northern edge of Melbourne's CBD.

The apartment mix is weighted toward smaller inner-city product, with 188 studios, 206 one-bedroom apartments, 192 two-bedroom apartments and 20 three-bedroom apartments

Part of the precinct will be a large-scale&nbsp;3,684 sqm supermarket and a further 2,198 sqm of speciality retail, creating close to 5,900 sqm of new commercial space within the precinct.

But one of the biggest components of the proposal is what sits between the buildings.

Around 4,650 sqm, or roughly 72 per cent of the site, will be publicly accessible open space, incorporating plazas, pedestrian connections, landscaped laneways and retail spill-out areas.

The ground plane is intended to finally complete pedestrian connections envisaged when the CUB masterplan was first approved nearly two decades ago, stitching together Victoria Street, Queensberry Street, Bouverie Street and Swanston Street through the former brewery precinct.

Urbis said the development would "complete the CUB precinct", with the public realm providing important north-south and east-west connections through what is currently the final undeveloped portion of the masterplanned site.

SP Setia is also exploring a new linear park within the Bouverie Street road reserve, with the concept to be developed further with the City of Melbourne through the planning process.

The proposal is being pursued through the Victorian Government's Development Facilitation Program under Clause 53.23 for significant residential development with affordable housing.

The planning report acknowledges the proposed heights exceed those contemplated under the original Comprehensive Development Plan and masterplan, but argues the built-form context has changed considerably over the past two decades.

Urbis said the three towers would instead create a stepped transition between Carlton and the Hoddle Grid, rising progressively from the 94.1-metre Tower One along the Queensberry Street edge to the 199.44-metre Tower Three closer to the established CBD-scale buildings to the south.

SP Setia plans to deliver the development across three stages.

Stage One would deliver the basement, podium and retail areas for the entire precinct alongside the first student tower. Tower Two would follow in Stage Two, before the 606-apartment Tower Three is delivered as the final stage.

If approved and delivered, the project would close out a redevelopment process that has been underway since the former brewery masterplan was approved in 2007, adding more than 2,600 student beds and apartments to a precinct already home to Swanston Central, the Barak Building, RMIT Design Hub and several large student accommodation developments.

SP Setia plans three-tower finale for Carlton’s former CUB precinct

Melbourne developer Lowe Living is seeking to add to its growing bayside apartment pipeline, filing plans for a boutique eight-residence development in tightly held Middle Park.

Lowe Living, which has built much of its development portfolio across Melbourne's affluent bayside and south-east suburbs, is behind the plans for the 730 sqm site at <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/new-apartments/123-125-erskine-street-middle-park-vic-3206">123-125 Erskine Street</a>, just off Armstrong Street and within the Armstrong Street Neighbourhood Activity Centre.

The developer is seeking approval for a five-storey residential building above two basement levels, with just eight large-format apartments and 18 car spaces.

The low-density proposal has been designed by Cera Stribley and is being progressed through the Victorian Government's Great Design Fast Track pathway, having already secured eligibility from the Minister for Planning.

The Office of the Victorian Government Architect supported its eligibility after finding the proposal demonstrated consistency with the program's seven design principles, while the project's financial feasibility has also been independently confirmed by Invest Victoria.

The project is targeting the downsizer market, with the planning documents describing the homes as larger-format residences and noting the two penthouses could otherwise have been configured as four separate apartments.

The site has dual frontage to Erskine Street and Canterbury Place and currently comprises a collection of commercial buildings used as offices, including a former heritage bakehouse, a former stable, a later gabled addition and a central courtyard.

It sits within the Commercial 1 Zone and the Armstrong Street Commercial Precinct heritage overlay, with the existing property classified as a contributory heritage place.

Heritage has subsequently played a significant role in Cera Stribley's design.

The front section of the former bakehouse facing Erskine Street will be retained, including its return walls, street-facing hipped roof and chimneys, while the Erskine Street façade and part of the western return wall of the former stable will also be incorporated into the new development.

Levels four and five will be set back five metres from the retained stable façade, while bricks removed through demolition are proposed to be salvaged and reused within the new building where possible.

Rather than presenting as a single five-storey building to Erskine Street, Cera Stribley has broken the development into a series of distinct forms.

A three-storey infill element will sit between the retained bakehouse and stable façades, with the upper levels recessed behind the heritage fabric. Canterbury Place will similarly feature two three-storey podium forms, separated by a central pedestrian accessway, before the upper two levels step back from the street.

A pedestrian through-link will run through the centre of the project between Erskine Street and Canterbury Place, creating entrances from both sides of the site and introducing landscaping and communal areas through the ground plane.

Landscape architect Acre has designed planting across the ground level, private terraces and upper levels, including a feature canopy tree at level three and integrated planting and arbours across the level four terraces. Five existing Erskine Street trees are proposed to be retained.

Sustainability is also a significant component of the Great Design Fast Track application. The apartments are targeting an average eight-star NatHERS rating, with no residence below 6.5 stars, while the project has achieved a 75 per cent BESS score. Seven of the eight apartments are designed for cross-ventilation, with the remaining residence using mechanically assisted natural ventilation.

The plans also incorporate an 8kWp rooftop solar system, a 5,000-litre rainwater tank and infrastructure allowing future electric vehicle charging for every residence.

Lowe has a strong portfolio across Melbourne's blue-chip suburbs. They recently launched <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/new-apartments/jardin-house-by-lowe-living-camberwell-335-camberwell-road-camberwell-vic-3124">Jardin House by Lowe Living</a> in Camberwell, their first development in the Stonnington LGA.

The project will comprise 40 half-floor residences of approximately 260 sqm, alongside eight full-floor residences spanning around 524 sqm.

A single penthouse will crown the building, featuring a private pool, barbecue area, indoor gym and dedicated entertaining spaces.

Residents will have access to a resort-style suite of amenities, including a 20-metre pool with daybeds, a gymnasium, hot and cold plunge pools, a sauna, and private residents’ lounge and dining facilities.

Plans have been lodged for the consolidated site at <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/new-apartments/1359-1365-centre-road-clayton-vic-3168">1359-1365 Centre Road</a>, where Norus is seeking approval for 218 apartments across a 12-storey apartment building designed by <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/architects/life-architecture-and-urban-design">Life Architecture</a>.

The proposal sits within the Clayton Major Activity Centre at the threshold of the planned Green Street corridor, a landscaped pedestrian connection intended to improve links through the precinct towards Clayton Railway Station.

The development would replace the site's existing collection of low-scale residential and commercial buildings with a single consolidated building, introducing significantly greater housing density to this part of Centre Road.

A retail tenancy is proposed at ground level to activate the Centre Road frontage, accompanied by transparent street interfaces and landscaping intended to create a more pedestrian-focused edge to the development.

The building has been designed with stepped massing and upper-level setbacks to manage its transition towards surrounding residential properties. The planning report describes the approach as one that integrates the building into the landscape rather than treating landscaping as a secondary element.

"A strong landscape and public realm strategy underpins the proposal," Urbis states in the planning report.

"Public benefits include an affordable housing contribution, a new pocket park, generous landscaped setbacks, deep soil planting and integrated Water Sensitive Urban Design."

The report adds that these elements are intended to create "a permeable, pedestrian-focused ground plane that enhances walkability, supports urban cooling and reinforces the emerging Green Street character."

Biophilic and passive design principles extend through the residential levels, with planting, daylight, natural ventilation and views towards landscaped areas forming part of the amenity strategy.

Parking would be concentrated away from the public realm, with 145 car spaces proposed from the rear laneway rather than dominating the Centre Road frontage.

The proposal follows an extensive pre-application process with the City of Monash. Three formal meetings were held between the project team and Council from December 2025 to March 2026, with the scheme evolving through several concept iterations before the current design was lodged.

The project arrives as Clayton prepares for substantial change around its established activity centre and the wider Suburban Rail Loop precinct. Its position on Centre Road places the development within an existing concentration of shops, services and public transport, while the Green Street connection is intended to strengthen pedestrian access towards Clayton Railway Station.

Builder-developer GRAYA is continuing its development push in Brisbane's <a href="/developments/new-farm-qld-4005">New Farm</a>.

Having recently completed <a href="/buildings/chalk-by-graya-228-230-moray-street-new-farm">Chalk</a> and currently delivering&nbsp;<a href="/new-apartments/york-new-farm-299-bowen-terrace-new-farm-qld-4005">York</a>&nbsp;in the popular riverside suburb, <a href="/developers/graya">GRAYA</a> has submitted plans for Ivory New Farm, just four luxury apartments on the Brisbane River.

The 17 Julius Street site spans 688 sqm and has 32-metre frontage to the river. It was bought by the Gray family for $8.5 million in late 2022&nbsp;from developer Tom Dooley, who had approved plans for a luxury four-level home.

It was reported that a home at that scale, on that rare of a site, would be worth around $20 million. A mid-1990s home sits on the block currently.

Ivory New Farm will have three full-floor apartments and an impressive two-level penthouse.

It's been well documented that the Brisbane unit market has been one of the strongest property markets in Australia in 2024.

Only bettered by Perth, the growth in the unit market in <a href="/developments/brisbane-qld">Brisbane</a> has been the strongest it has been in around four decades, exclusive data from property data analytics company CoreLogic found

You'd have to go <a href="/news/qld/brisbane-units-growing-at-fastest-rate-since-1988">back to the 1980s</a> to find a better year of growth.

The tight supply in both the established and off the plan market has driven the growth in both segments. When there has been new projects launched in 2024, which have been few and far between, the apartments have been snapped up.

While there are several key developments that have been submitted to the Brisbane City Council, and approved, over the course of 2024, it's difficult to know when those large-scale projects will go to market given the complexities in the built environment in South East Queensland.

Dibcorp, who sold out Bide Newstead before its completion last year, will be launching <a href="/new-apartments/one-hundred-spring-hill">One Hundred on Leichhardt</a>, an 18-level tower above the former Spring Hill Hotel.

As part of the development, Dibcorp will be restoring the old hotel which has fallen into disrepair in recent years.

Above the hotel, and new retail and commercial spaces will be 119 two and three-bedroom apartments.&nbsp;

To give buyers confidence, Dibcorp has already started construction on site at 100 Leichhardt Street, just down the road from Roma St Parklands and the convenience of Boundary Street that runs through from Brisbane Grammar School to the Howard Smith Wharves.

Milestone Property Group, led by veteran project marketer Jeremy Gilmore, will be handling the sales and marketing.

Harry Triguboff's apartment giant&nbsp;<a href="/developers/meriton" target="">Meriton</a> will be expected to launch its two-tower <a href="/new-apartments/204-alice-street-brisbane">Alice Street, Brisbane CBD development</a> next year, having secured approval for the&nbsp;$1.3 billion project in October.

There will be just under 800 apartments across the two skyscrapers,&nbsp;designed by their go-to architect in Queensland&nbsp;<a href="/architects/dbi">DBI</a>&nbsp;who has designed Meriton's recent Gold Coast portfolio.

The towers will sit on the 5,485 sqm site directly across the road from the City Botanic Gardens from the Alice Street frontage. They will include a childcare centre, retail and food and beverage spaces, and communal open space facilities like swimming pools, an outdoor gym and play space on the level five podium level before it gives way to the main tower structure.

Bulletproof builder-developer, <a href="/developers/mosaic-property-group" target="">Mosaic Property Group</a>, has two new projects set to launch in Kangaroo Point.

The most impressive is <a href="/new-apartments/the-bedford-by-mosaic-16-30-prospect-street-kangaroo-point">The Bedford by Mosaic</a>, 128 apartments above a full-line Woolworths on a Prospect Street site that has been vacant for over three decades.

Morris tweaked the plans they inherited from Woolworths' development arm Fabcot, bringing in <a href="/architects/cottee-parker-architects" target="">Cottee Parker</a> to revise the scheme to include more three and four-bedroom apartments.

The building will also have a gym on the podium level, with the majority of facilities, like a 20m pool, wellness space with sauna and ice plunge, golf simulator and kitchen and dining space, located on the rooftop.

<h2>What: 23-level tower, 126 apartments</h2>

<h2>Where: Linton Street, Kangaroo Point</h2>

After The Bedford, Mosaic will no doubt be looking to take advantage of the boom around the Olympics precinct.

They have another site in Kangaroo Point, just one row back from The Gabba at <a href="/new-apartments/77-linton-street-kangaroo-point">77 Linton Street</a>, where they have approved plans for a 23-level, BDA Architecture-designed tower with 126 apartments.

They will be 80 two-bed and 46 three-bedroom apartments in the building that also borders Vulture Street.

The level 24 rooftop will have a swimming&nbsp;pool, outdoor theatre area, barbecue areas, and a sauna.

BDA wrote in their planning documentation that the surrounding density of the "exceptional site" suggests it is the perfect location for the proposed development.

"The site’s prime location in close proximity to The Gabba Stadium provides an ideal opportunity to create long and short term accommodation options for sporting and entertainment events," BDA said.

The redevelopment of the landmark Shafston Estate, on over one-hectare of Brisbane River land in <a href="/developments/kangaroo-point-qld-4169">Kangaroo Point</a>, looks to be edging closer.

The plans are back with the Brisbane City Council to increase the density of the project, which was given the green light in early 2023.

Developer Burgundy Group had sought to develop a 15-level tower with 37 apartments designed by Rothelowman in 2022, with approval received in March last year.

The latest submission has come from&nbsp;Verso Development Group, an entity directed by Chinese-born Siwen Pan, who is believed to have taken over the 10,070 sqm site at 23 Castlebar Street.

Verso has brought in&nbsp;Kerry Hills Architects (KHA) to revise the plans for the unrepeatable site that is home to the&nbsp;1851, heritage-listed Shafston House, built by the Reverend Robert Creyke&nbsp;as a single-storey cottage called Ravenscott.

The proposal is for the tower to increase in levels to 25 and the apartments to go from 37 to 51.

"The Shafston Estate provides a once-in-a-generation opportunity to restore one of Brisbane’s finest heritage precincts and to reinstate residential use as a unique site perched on the edge of Kangaroo Point," KHA noted in its Urban Context Report.

"The project will celebrate excellence in sub-tropical residential design, setting a new benchmark for vertical living in Brisbane."

The submission noted the departure point for the project is to celebrate the heritage elements that exist on the site.

"These elements manifest the layers of post-settlement history in Brisbane, and as part of the project they will be carefully and faithfully restored. They will be reinvigorated with uses that are closely associated with their original purposes as domestic and restorative spaces."

Verso was recommendaed by Urbis to provide an independent design review of the proposed changes to the existing code assessed development approval of the Shafston Estate.

Malcolm Middleton Architects produced the review on the former plans, suggesting they

"The proponent of the site has a vision of this unique property that exceeds the code assessed approval and associated design compliance approach," the review read.

"The amended design seeks to deliver a project that will make a significant contribution to the quality of the city residential standards as well as focal point of architectural expression that will create an urban uplift for the site specifically and the city overall."

As well as the new tower, there would be two riverfront homes, and a guest house in the retain Postal Depot Building.

Further changes to the 2023 approval include a new section of riverwalk along the river frontage of the site as public infrastructure, and a six-berth private marina will be constructed on the river out from the riverwalk, in place of the existing pontoon.

Kangaroo Point's iconic Shafston House gets closer to apartment redevelopment

<a href="/developers/traders-in-purple">Traders in Purple</a> has revealed what it is planning to do with their recently acquired riverfront site in Brisbane's West End.

Traders picked up the <a href="/new-apartments/117-victoria-street-west-end">117 Victoria Street site</a> from Crown Group earlier this year, spending $63.5 million on the 1.25-hectare block which had approved plans for over 440 apartments.

They have called on Rothelowman to completely change the design and density. The project, Rivara West End, will now offer just 132 apartments and 32 river and terrace homes.

Rothelowman noted in the design report said&nbsp;117 Victoria Street is a project about neighbourhood.

"[It's] the&nbsp;creation of a new neighbourhood within the context of an emerging place, a neighbourhood that links the existing vibrancy of West End (one of Brisbane’s oldest villages) back to the Brisbane River. A neighbourhood that balances a series of scales, housing diversity, streets, verges, parks and landscape. A neighbourhood that is aspirational in its desire to offer new ways of living in the subtropics that are focused on a humanist agenda."

They said the site is afforded&nbsp;an amazingly beautiful context and proximity to quintessential Brisbane landmarks, with the&nbsp;surroundings offering a mix of green streets and the timber and tin of Brisbane’s past.

"The design leans into the power of these assets and focuses site arrangements, dwelling orientation, and placement to gain deliberate and framed outlooks to the surrounds.

"The project focuses on the notion of quality over quantity. Built form is arranged to collaborate with the existing and future emerging developments of neighbouring sites providing generous building separation and relief within the broader neighbourhood."

Of the 132 apartments, there will be just two one-bedroom units, 32 two-bedders, and 98 three-bedrooms. 365 parking spaces will be provided, as well as 205 bicycle spaces.

The 32 riverfront and terrace homes offer either three or four bedrooms.

On the site purchase,&nbsp;<a href="/developers/traders-in-purple">Traders in Purple</a>&nbsp;Director George Geagea said the size and location of the&nbsp;<a href="/developments/west-end-qld-4101">West End</a>&nbsp;site presented a rare opportunity to create a remarkable lifestyle-focused destination just 4km from the Brisbane CBD.&nbsp;

“This is a spectacular site, one of the largest on the Brisbane riverfront to come to market in recent years,” Geagea said.&nbsp;

The Brisbane City Council has granted approval for Meriton's two-tower development in the heart of the city.

The $1.3 billion development at <a href="/new-apartments/204-alice-street-brisbane">204 Alice Street</a>,&nbsp;across from the City Botanic Gardens, will be one of Harry Triguboff's largest projects in <a href="/developments/brisbane-qld">Brisbane</a>&nbsp;having previously delivered several Meriton Suites buildings.

The two towers, one of which will reach 79 levels, will home 753 apartments, predominantly two-bedders (438).

There will be 168 one-bedroom units, each with a study, 119 three-beds, and 28 four-bedroom apartments. Just under 900 parking spaces will occupy five basement levels and four of the podium levels.

DBI, the preferred architecture firm for Meriton on the Gold Coast where they have several skyscrapers, said in the submission that&nbsp;the design approach "minimises overshadowing of the Botanic Gardens, aiming to preserve the experience for both residents and the wider public."

"The two-tower development takes cues from the surrounding context including the city’s urban fabric as well as the Botanic Gardens and seeks to complement the adjacent heritage and place character, DBI noted.

"The development is set to become a landmark Brisbane destination and provides a visable presence on the skyline of the city. The tower plates have been carefully shaped to maximise the amenity of future residents and visitors and provide generous balconies offering access to Brisbane’s outdoor lifestyle."

The podium level will be lined with retail, food and beverage spaces, and public amenities such as swimming pools, an outdoor gym, and play areas. An upcoming Public Art Strategy will also introduce integrated artworks.

Meriton approved for Brisbane skyscrapers

After nearly a decade of transforming West End’s iconic Peter's Ice Cream Factory site into a thriving community known as West Village, <a href="/developers/sekisui-house-australia">Sekisui House Australia</a>&nbsp;is soon to unveil the final stage.

Currently building The Allere Collection, Sekisui has re-jigged its plans for the last building of the West End masterplan.

Dubbed Callista on Park, Sekisui had planned a 74-apartment tower with just three and four-bedroom apartments when <a href="/news/qld/first-look-exclusive-sekisuis-plans-for-west-village-final-tower-callista-on-park">Urban first revealed the plans back in late 2022</a>.

But now they're looking to increase the density, and change the mix.&nbsp;

Now proposing 96 apartments in the same building envelope, they're introducing two-bedroom apartments, of which there will be 33. Three-bedroom apartments will still dominate the makeup of the building (48). There will also be 15 four-bedroom apartments.

They said in the planning documentation submitted to Brisbane City Council this week that the shift is aimed at "accommodating a broader demographic in response to the evolving housing and economic landscape."

Rothelowman, who was in charge of the first plans, has tweaked the designs of the facade of the 15-level building.

"Whilst striving to improve upon the approved design, this minor change proposal maintains the key elements of the approved scheme in regards to car parking, childcare offering, building separation, built form articulation and variation, and building stories," Rothelowman noted in their report submitted to council.

"Apartment mix has been diversified to reflect the current housing market, catering to a wider demographic of end users".

The plans maintain the rooftop garden concept, where residents will enjoy expanded recreational and landscaped spaces, replacing the previously planned recreational amenities on the podium level.&nbsp;

A childcare centre, integrated within the first level of the podium, remains part of the design.

When Brisbane lawyer Rebecca Stevens and her husband started thinking about downsizing, they weren't too sure where to start.

They knew they wanted to be closer to the city from their family home in Bardon, which was getting too big with their four kids all starting to finish university.

"We wanted city living again," Rebecca said, adding that lifestyle factors, like proximity to the city and walking distance to cafes and restaurants, were two key criteria in their search.

"We started looking around New Farm and other riverside areas, but we couldn't find anything that we really loved within our budget," Rebecca recalled.

The couple also knew they wanted something dog-friendly for their small dog, which is why they initially started their search in the established house market.

It was a visit to West Village, the $1.2 billion West End masterplanned community by Sekisui House Australia, which changed their mind.

Rebecca had in fact suggested her parents move into West Village several years earlier, having&nbsp;spotted a Facebook ad for a French Christmas market being held on the lawns at West Village, and floated the idea of downsizing to her parents.

It wasn't until last year that Rebecca considered West Village as an option for her and her husband when she went to visit her parents.

"We never thought we'd want to live there, but we loved the idea of the lifestyle," Rebecca admitted, but having spent more time in the community, and a well-placed signboard, the couple's interest was piqued.

"There's&nbsp;always been signage throughout the community talking about what's happening next. When we visited we noticed a signboard with a dog that looked a lot like ours and that turned our heads a little as we hadn't considered apartment living with the dogs.

"Dog-friendly living was something we thought we would never find in an apartment building, but to have an off-leash dog park on the roof of the building, communal dog wash facilities, and just to know having pets in the building was welcomed, that was a huge drawcard for us."

Rebecca will soon be able walk to work in the city and will be in the immediate proximity to cafes, restaurants and retail, all located within West Village which is a thriving community having first started its development nearly a decade ago.

Rebecca's apartment, and the rest of the Allere Collection, are slated for completion mid-next year by regarded builders Hutchisons. There are only a handful of the four and five-bedroom apartments left in the Opulent Release.

How the lure of city living is drawing downsizers to West Village: Urban Buyer Q&A

Brisbane’s Indooroopilly and the Gold Coast’s Coolangatta have appeared in the top 10 list for unit sales across Queensland for the very first time, according to research from InfoTrack.

Indooroopilly, in Brisbane’s western suburbs, has appeared for the first time, coming in at number eight for unit sales, while Coolangatta debuted in ninth.

InfoTrack’s Head of Property, Australia, Lee Bailie, said the established area is just eight kilometres from the Brisbane CBD and offers great buyer appeal. &nbsp;

“Indooroopilly has seen a jump in medium-density apartments in recent years as buyers flock to this convenient location or downsize from the many large houses in the area,” Bailie said. &nbsp;

“It’s also home to the largest shopping centre in Brisbane’s western suburbs, Indooroopilly Shopping &nbsp;Centre, which offers access to a great array of retail stores, cafes, restaurants, and cinemas.”&nbsp;

Also to make the top 10 list for unit sales for the first time was the Gold Coast suburb of <a href="/developments/coolangatta-qld-4225">Coolangatta</a>. After last appearing in the top 10 list a year ago (in Q3 2023), <a href="/developments/broadbeach-qld-4218">Broadbeach</a> made its first appearance for 2024, at number 10 in Q3.&nbsp;

The result confirms the strong attraction of the Gold Coast, with <a href="/developments/surfers-paradise-qld-4217">Surfers Paradise</a> number one on the list for unit sales once again, a position it’s held for more than two years. &nbsp;

Also to rank highly for unit sales was Brisbane City in second place, followed by Maroochydore in third, with the booming Sunshine Coast suburb up from sixth place last quarter.&nbsp;

InfoTrack’s report showed for house sales, the Gold Coast suburb of Pimpama topped the list, coming in at number one for the very first time. &nbsp;

“Pimpama has been steadily growing in popularity over the past 12 months and is up from fourth spot last quarter, to now be sitting in top spot,” Bailie said. &nbsp;

“Its equal distance to the heart of the Gold Coast and the Brisbane CBD makes it a very attractive &nbsp;commuter suburb, and a new train station is also under construction, boosting accessibility.”&nbsp;

Nearby Upper Coomera came in at number seven on the list.

The InfoTrack figures show houses have retained their position as the most popular property type in Queensland with a share of just over 60 per cent. Strata units had a 27.43 per cent share.&nbsp;
