Leading Brisbane developer <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/developers/consolidated-properties">Consolidated Properties Group (CPG)</a> has completed and settled $450 million worth of apartments at Monarch Residences in Toowong, marking one of Brisbane’s most significant and prestigious riverfront residential completions in recent years.

The final apartment at Monarch sold at auction on the 30th May for $4.1m.&nbsp;

The milestone has been marked at a ribbon-cutting ceremony at <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/buildings/monarch-residences-toowong-600-coronation-drive-toowong-qld-4066">Monarch Residences</a>, with Cr Penny Wolff highlighting the importance of completing major residential projects to boost the city’s much-needed housing supply.

The 224 apartments, delivered across two 15-level towers, are now officially in the hands of owners, including Brisbane downsizers, families and professionals who have traded traditional houses for apartment living. The completion underscores sustained demand for absolute riverfront living in Brisbane’s inner west.

An entity directed by HSN's Rafi Assouline and Rebel Property's Allen Linz has filed plans for an impressive new precinct in Woolloomooloo.

The major mixed-use development would transform a prominent William Street site into a new residential village anchored by affordable housing and a large public park.

The proposal, submitted as a State Significant Development Application, covers 164-172 and 174-194 William Street, a 6,398 sqm site between Forbes Street and Dowling Street on the southern edge of Woolloomooloo.

Designed by fjcstudio in collaboration with Bangawarra, Studio Bright and Tribe Studio Architects, the scheme would deliver 227 apartments across four residential buildings ranging in height up to 18 storeys, alongside retail space, public domain improvements and a new publicly accessible park.

It's another design scheme for Rebel, who took <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/news/nsw/first-look-rebel-property-group-takes-woolloomooloo-precinct-to-nsw-government">concept plans to the NSW Gov late last year</a>.

The latest plans will be a mix of 167 build-to-sell apartments and 60 affordable apartments, with the affordable housing component representing 15 per cent of the project's gross floor area. The apartment mix includes 12 one-bedroom, 53 two-bedroom, 89 three-bedroom apartments and 13 penthouses, while the affordable housing component would comprise 42 one-bedroom and 18 two-bedroom apartments.

Rebel Property is seeking to take advantage of the NSW Government's infill affordable housing bonus provisions under the Housing SEPP, which provide additional floor space and height in exchange for the delivery of affordable housing for a minimum of 15 years. The planning pathway allows a 30 per cent increase in floor space ratio and building height where 15 per cent of the development is dedicated to affordable housing.

At the centre of the development is a 1,356 sqm sunlit public park designed to become a new community gathering space at the gateway to Woolloomooloo. The park would be complemented by a network of pedestrian laneways connecting William Street with the surrounding streets, improving permeability through what is currently a largely impermeable block.

The design team says the public domain has been heavily influenced by the site's topography and Aboriginal cultural heritage, drawing on the escarpments, gullies and landscape characteristics that historically defined the area before urbanisation. The landscape design has been developed in partnership with First Nations consultancy Bangawarra.

The project would be delivered across four separate buildings. The William Street East and William Street West buildings, designed by fjcstudio, would contain the majority of the apartments. Melbourne-based Studio Bright has designed the Forbes Street building, while Tribe Studio Architects is responsible for the Dowling Street building.

Rebel had secured approval for the concept plans late last year.

A locally heritage-listed furniture showroom on Water Street is set to become the centrepiece of a new mixed-use residential development as local developer&nbsp;<a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/developers/keylin-group">Keylin</a> seeks approval for <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/new-apartments/lotus-on-water-street-290-water-street-fortitude-valley-qld-4006">Lotus on Water Street</a>, a 15-storey project on the Fortitude Valley side of Spring Hill.

The proposal spans 290 Water Street and 137-141 Warry Street, combining several properties into a 2,869 sqm site that sits between Fortitude Valley, Spring Hill and the rapidly evolving Victoria Park precinct. Keylin's plans would deliver 132 apartments alongside new retail, hospitality and commercial space, while retaining and repurposing the historic Brunswick Home Furnishers Showroom that fronts Water Street.

Designed by <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/architects/jackson-teece">Jackson Teece</a>, Lotus on Water Street comprises a 12-storey residential tower rising above a three-storey podium and communal rooftop terrace. The development includes 76 apartments classified as multiple dwellings and a further 56 units proposed as short-term accommodation, designed to be flexibly used as either accommodation or permanent residences. The apartment mix comprises six one-bedroom, 54 two-bedroom and 16 three-bedroom homes.

Residents would have access to an extensive rooftop recreation level spanning more than 1,200 sqm of communal open space. Plans include a pool, gym, sauna, infrared sauna, yoga area, library, private dining room, barbecue facilities and landscaped entertainment spaces, making the rooftop the project's largest shared amenity offering.

At street level, the proposal focuses on the adaptive reuse of the heritage buildings along Water Street, where 518 sqm of retail and commercial space is planned across shop, office and food and drink outlet uses. A permeable residential lobby would be positioned between the retained heritage buildings, creating a pedestrian connection between the historic streetscape and the new tower behind.

The heritage retention strategy is central to the scheme. The development application notes that the Brunswick Home Furnishers Showroom and adjoining heritage buildings will remain, with only non-significant structures on the site earmarked for removal under a previously issued Heritage Exemption Certificate. Levels one and two of the new podium are recessed behind the heritage façades to maintain their prominence within the streetscape.

Jackson Teece has drawn inspiration from the site's manufacturing history when designing the podium. The planning documents state that the façade incorporates perforated metal screening that references the woven and rattan furniture historically produced on the site. Cascading and climbing plants are integrated throughout the podium to soften the building's presentation and screen parking levels behind. The landscape strategy also informs the project's name, Lotus on Water Street, drawing on the historic Spring Hollow waterholes that once ran through Spring Hill and the blue water lilies associated with Meeanjin, Brisbane's traditional name.

The proposal also incorporates the neighbouring property at 141 Warry Street, currently occupied by a healthcare service. The existing building would remain, with nine dedicated parking spaces allocated within the new development to support its ongoing operation. In total, Lotus on Water Street proposes 117 car spaces, including 110 resident spaces and seven visitor bays, alongside 100 bicycle spaces.

The site sits within the Spring Hill East Precinct of the Spring Hill Neighbourhood Plan and is positioned around 650 metres from both Fortitude Valley Station and Exhibition Station. It is also within walking distance of the King Street precinct, Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, Herston Quarter and Victoria Park, which is earmarked to become a major venue precinct ahead of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Planning documents describe the location as a key gateway between Spring Hill and Fortitude Valley and highlight the area's increasing importance as new transport infrastructure and Olympic-related investment reshape Brisbane's inner north. The development team argues the project will contribute additional housing supply while activating a section of Water Street that has historically received less investment than other parts of the Valley.

Keylin has become increasingly active across Brisbane and southeast Queensland, assembling sites in strategic inner-city locations. They are currently selling and delivering <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/new-apartments/oria-spring-hill-447-gregory-terrace-spring-hill-qld-4000">Oria Spring Hill</a>, just over 140 apartments due for completion in 2027.

Roseville is poised for a wave of new apartment development following the NSW Government's rezoning of land around Roseville Station under its Transport Oriented Development program.

The new planning controls have unlocked significant development potential within walking distance of the station, with a number of sites expected to be amalgamated and redeveloped in the coming years as developers seek to take advantage of the increased density allowances.

One of the more restrained developments in the precinct, and set among the first to be delivered having commenced well before the recent changes, is Hyecorp's Juliet. The Today Show host Georgie Gardner and her investment banker husband Tim Baker have listed their Woollahra investment property.
The move comes after the couple, who recently spent $6 million in Mosman, listed their <a href="/news/todays-georgie-gardner-lists-south-coast-holiday-home">South Coast holiday home at Culburra Beach</a>.
The Woollahra apartment has been a long term investment for the pair. Gardner bought the home in 1998, three years after she started working as a journalist.
It cost $346,000.
Set on the top floor of Araluen, a boutique block of 12, the two bedroom, one bathroom Edgecliff Road apartment has city views from its leafy balcony.

The unit includes original period features such as high ceilings, elegant period cornices and sash windows.
It was last advertised for rent at $570 a week in 2013.
The Agency's Bethwyn Richards and Anji Lake are marketing the apartment for a March 16 auction with a guide of $900,000.
The tightly held, 1930s block hasn't seen a sale since 2011. 
Another two bedroom apartment in the block, which is rented for $690 a week, is for sale with a guide of $760,000.

The Metropolis adman James Cooper and his wife, Rachel, a former Miss New Zealand, have reportedly snapped up the Bellevue trophy home, Allala.

The local paper, The Wentworth Courier suggested they secured it for between $11.5 million and $12 million.

The thoroughly modern Buyeast buyers' agents Carli Skurnik and Jayden Hurvitz announced the deal on Instagram.

The sellers fund manager Ari Droga and his architect wife, Lisa, had initially sought $14 million after they bought Bonnington (pictured below), elsewhere in Bellevue Hill last October.

The Drogas had listed the six-bedroom, two-storey family home<a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/sold/property-house-nsw-bellevue+hill-130386966"> </a>after their $20.32 million purchase at auction of <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/sold/property-house-nsw-bellevue+hill-129191790" target="_blank">Bonnington </a>from the loss taking art dealer John Schaeffer.

They’d owned the Cranbrook Road home for 13 years.

It’s only the third time the property has sold since 1923.

Adman James Cooper spends $11.5 million plus on Bellevue Hill home Allala

They've owned the humble family getaway at Culburra Beach since they paid $560,000 in 2007.
The listing of the three bedroom, two bathroom cottage comes just weeks after the couple upgraded from Artarmon to Mosman where they've spent $6 million.
They called Artarmon home for eight years.
The Artarmon sale was a windfall result having paid $1.95 million for the 1920s home in 2010 and securing for $4.2 million.
The beach home (above and below) across two levels on 835 sqm features open plan living and dining areas off the kitchen which flows to an undercover alfresco dining deck.

Agents described the Culburra Beach home as an "immaculate family beach house."
"Days can be spent swimming, surfing, fishing and walking the dog along the beach," the agent Julie Gauci at Ray White advised in her marketing material.
"There is a cycle way for a short trip to the shops.
"This home is in a sought after tranquil cul-de-sac with no through traffic," it said.
They are offering no public price guidance to buyers on the two storey house that does not come with water views.
Beachfront homes on Culburra Beach have peaked at $2.5 million, and non-beachfronts at around $1.25 million.
The beach is highly regarded given its ability to pull in swell and its variety of waves.
The region has produced some serious talent with the likes of Tyler, Owen and Mikey Wright and the Watson brothers have once called Culburra Beach home.

Around 42 per cent of homes in Culburra are owner occupied, with the rest used as holiday rentals.
The house provided "potential holiday rental income," Gauci said.

There had been progressively more withdrawals every Saturday so far this year with 12 on February 2; 26 pulled on February 9 and 42 on February 16.
My Kitchen Rules host, celebrity chef and author Peter Evans and his wife, the former glamour-model turned nutritionist Nicola Robinson, have finally upgraded in Malabar.

It was back in 2014 when they bought a 1960s knockdown home with the intention of creating their family residence. The couple paid $1.27 million and have since built on the 580 sqm parcel at a cost of around $1 million.
The two-level, Metricon-designed home, which they moved into late last year, features a roof terrace. They’ve also got a dedicated ping pong room — Evans says the whole family are dedicated ping pong players.
It sits in exotic gardens that feature aloe trees, Mexican lilies and a climbing fig tree.

Evans and the family spent time over the summer break at their farm in Pottsville, in northern NSW between Byron Bay and the Gold Coast. They recently added an outdoor ice bath to the farm.
Evans has been in the spotlight in recent weeks, as MKR celebrates its 10th season. He has also created headlines when he recently reiterated his 2016 suggestion there was no need to wear sunscreen.
The controversial health food couple have now listed their redundant five-bedroom home which is just a few streets back from the beach.
NG Farah Little Bay agents Peter Goulding and Nick Ujvary told buyers similar homes are fetching prices between $2.5 million and $3 million.
The 2008 modern home on 330 sqm comes fitted with a designer commercial kitchen which opens on to a ground level wraparound ­courtyard.

Oroton boss Ross Lane lists Manly's only privately owned absolute beachfront

The former Coogee home of model Jennifer Hawkins and her then builder fiance Jake Wall was pulled from its weekend's scheduled auction.
It now comes with guidance of $3.2 million to $3.5 million.
Phillips Pantzer Donnelley agents Alexander Phillips and David Tyrell are marketing the home having initially sought $3.5 million when first listed, and then adjusting its buyers guide to $3.2 million. 
It is the home which Hawkins had difficulty selling seven years ago.
It was finally sold for $2.22 million in 2012 when the couple headed off to Sydney's northern beaches.
Hawkin noted after it took six months to sell in 2012 that "Wow.... the property market in Sydney is tough".
The Moore Street home, part of a duplex near Gordon's Bay, spans 240 square metres over its four levels.
It has three bedrooms, three bathrooms and an open plan kitchen, living and dining area that flows to the rear alfresco deck which has been reduced in size to allow more exposed pool.
The Coogee property was a bit of a baptism of fire in the world of property for Hawkins and Wall, who in recent times have made handsome profits from their property dealings.
They made a small loss on the 2002-built property following her four year ownership, buying for $2.27 million in 2008 and then selling in 2012, just before prices began to soar across in Sydney over the next five years.

Jennifer Hawkins's former Coogee home pulled form auction

Naomi Triguboff Travers snappily sold her designer Toorak home last week.
She'd swapped agents following a sales campaign last year and its new agents, RT Edgar's Oliver Booth and Abby Innes, had three desirous buyers after its first open last weekend.
Travers, who is building a new home in South Yarra, filled the Toorak home with her cool contemporary art collection.
The four bedroom Nic Bochsler-designed home with a ground floor study, home theatre and gym, had a guide of $6.85 million to $7.2 million guide.
It featured an extensive use of glass, as well as a terrace with a reflection pond in the private 510 square metre gardens.
Travers, who worked as an investment banker in New York in the 1990s, had paid $3.5 million in 2008.
