There are $1.9 million hopes for the Blairgowrie, Mornington Peninsula retreat of architects Stephen O’Connor and Annick Houle.

They built the timber home as a retreat for their young family.

It is listed with Liz Jensen of Kay & Burton Portsea.

Set within 930 square metres of native gardens by landscape designer Fiona Brockhoff, it comes with three bedrooms in the main house and a separate, self-contained studio.

There is strong use of white mahogany and tallowwood timbers.

The property has private access to the national park and the back beach at Pirates Bay.

It last traded for $365,000 in 2009.
