How slowly property is selling in the capital cities – at least 81 days or more: APM

Residential property sold relatively quickly in the first half of 2011, but stock, not unexpectedly, was lingering longer on the market in most capital city markets over the Christmas/New Year period. Adelaide is the slowest city for sale times, and Canberra the quickest.

Clinton McNabb at Australian Property Monitors says February results tend to show an improvement in sales activity. The figures are for houses and units combined. The sunshine graphic illustrates the months where property sold most quickly during the past year, the dark cloud shows the slowest month.
