Builder-developer ALAND has drawn back the curtain on its first city-focused new apartment development.

The North Sydney development, <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/new-apartments/the-walden-north-sydney-173-179-walker-street-north-sydney-nsw-2060">The Walden</a>, is the first time the company has ventured this close to the city, having previously completed thousands of apartments predominantly in Sydney's west, and more recently in Gosford.

<a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/developers/aland">ALAND</a> acquired the prime North Sydney site, spanning Walker and Hampden Streets just down the road from the Victoria Cross Metro station, for $240 million in June.

Now they've unveiled the new project, a mix of one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments across a 30-level building designed by Rothelowman.

The Walden will capitalise on the site’s front-row position on the eastern fringe of the <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/developments/north-sydney-nsw-2060">North Sydney</a> CBD, which offers uninterrupted Sydney Harbour views stretching from the Sydney Harbour Bridge all the way to Sydney Heads.

The main tower will be flanked by a small four-level amenity building known as The Pavilion, offering exclusive resident-only amenities including a dedicated concierge service, a sauna and private wellness studio, a gymnasium and fitness studio, a resort-style rooftop pool and sundeck.

There will also be a&nbsp;residents’ lounge, private dining and a wine cellar, and co-working facilities with an on-site meeting room and boardroom.

It was the home of AFL Essendon legend Matthew Lloyd for almost 10 years.
Lloyd sold the lavish five-bedroom property to private investigator Anthony Thompson for $4.2 million in 2015.
The recent off market sale was something of a familial cricket deal as Thompson is the father-in-law of Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram who married Shaniera Thompson, whom he had met while on a visit to Melbourne in 2011 while participating in a poker tournament at Crown Casino.
Warne's recent circa $20 million sale of Melville made a nice profit on that property, after paying $14,249,999 to buy it back in August 2016, CoreLogic records show.

Capitalising on Melbourne's soaring prestige property prices, Warne has sold his six bedroom Brighton mansion again, reputedly pocketing $20 million.
It was the heritage home he only bought back in August 2016 for $14.2 million, have been listed at $15.5 million.
The spin king's off market sale last month secured an "extraordinary" $6 million windfall when sold to an overseas buyer, <a href="https://twitter.com/7NewsMelbourne" target="_blank">Channel 7 News sports journalist Tom Browne reported</a> on Triple MMM's Hot Breakfast. 
The paperwork that has emerged so far does not show the sale price.

Shane Warne's $6 million Brighton flip windfall

The Brighton trophy home merry-go-round appears to be well oiled with the former Aussie cricketer Shane Warne selling his redundant home, Camden at a likely $5 million plus through JP Dixon's Paul McKenzie and Marcus Gollings.
The four bedroom manor, modelled on a Mediterranean villa (above), has been bought by Lyn Watson who has been known to be seeking such a home. Warne bought it from IMG's Australian head, Martin Jolly, for $3.95 million in 2014.
The cricket legend will be moving back into Melville, the Brighton trophy that he previously shared with ex-wife Simone Callahan.
He sold Melville nine years ago in 2007 for $8.8 million and is rumoured to have spent $14 million plus on it this time round. Neighbours have heard keen to host a house warming early December.

Test cricket legend Shane Warne has listed his Brighton home because he's boomeranging back to a former Brighton home.
There's been recent speculation Shane Warne bought back his former Brighton mansion, Melville (above) for $14 million plus, with his McLuskys Lawyer's conveyancing paperwork now confirming his August 3 acquisition.
The Herald Sun reported the spin king's redundant Brighton home came with price hopes of $5 million to $6 million.
The house has been restored since his purchase in 2014.
The Herald Sun reported JP Dixon director Jonathan Dixon completed the secret resale to Warne, but would not comment on the details. The sale took place when Warne was in the UK on his cricket commentary commitments.
His agency has Warne’s Kinane Street home, Camden (below) for sale.

Warne's current abode, Camden cost $3.95 million in 2014 when bought from the managing director of International Management Group, Martin Jolly, and his wife Martine who had paid $1.8 million in 2000 for the then new Mort Higgins-built home through Kay &amp; Burton agent Ross Savas.

While Warne did not identify the said report, it is likely another article published today that he had eyes for one of the current crop of Bachelor contestants, the 28-year-old blonde Kiki.
Kiki, a former Playboy model who’s now vying for Bachelor Richie Strahan’s affections, reportedly insists that she and the 46-year-old champion former cricketer are just friends.
