Chinese developer Dahua Group Australia (Dahua) has bought a 134 hectare land parcel in south western Sydney’s Menangle Park, previously owned by Campbelltown City Council, with plans for nearly 800 homes.
The site, adjacent to a 364 hectare site Dahua purchased from UrbanGrowth NSW last year, is the third bought by the Shanghai-based developer since last year. The deal amount was not revealed.
Dahua also acquired a third land parcel in Edmondson Park from UrbanGrowth NSW in November 2015. It recently started construction on its New Breeze community in Edmondson Park which comprises 1,280 allotments. The project launched in April and 241 allotments have already been sold.
Eric Li, general manager for Dahua Group Australia, said, “We are very excited about acquiring our third major land holding in Sydney’s South West. All three land parcels are located at the epicentre of the South West growth corridor and will benefit greatly from the state government’s multi-billion investment in infrastructure, jobs and community facilities in the area.”
The developer plans to build more than 4,380 homes over these three land parcels. Plans are afoot for a new town centre in at Menangle Park, a school, community facilities and open spaces. 
“The three masterplanned developments will help accelerate housing supply in one of Sydney’s rapidly expanding areas. A broad range of lot sizes and housing types will be provided to cater for a wide range of purchasers.
Mayor of Campbelltown Cr Paul Hawker said the sale was another step towards cementing Campbelltown City as the leading regional city of South West Sydney.

It will be another house and land project for the BRW rich lister Nigel Satterley, following the sale of its project, Riverstone at Plenty River in Doreen, also in Melbourne's north. 
Donnybrook will consist of about 1000 lots with a variety of residential housing products including land, house and land, and townhouses.
It will be available for sale in 2018.

CBRE’s Michael Milne and Ben Younger, along with Raine &amp; Horne’s Peter Vetten, will conduct the sale campaign via a formal public Offers Invited process closing May 12.
Milne said the property’s size and development potential was expected to attract strong buyer interest.

Mandurah development site comes to the market

The property developer Sunland Group has acquired a six hectare development site in Ingleside in Sydney’s Northern Beaches for $7.25 million.
Acquired by government tender, 169 and 169a Mona Vale Road represents Sunland’s third residential site acquisition in Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
It increases the group’s Sydney portfolio pipeline to more than 420 dwellings with an estimated end value of $408 million.
Sunland’s national portfolio comprises in excess of 6,000 residential housing, urban development and multi-storey products along Australia’s eastern seaboard with an estimated end value of $3.8 billion.
Sunland managing director, Sahba Abedian, said the acquisition has been earmarked for a residential development of 70 dwellings with an estimated end value of $82 million.
“This acquisition demonstrates our continuing confidence in Sydney’s thriving Northern Beaches market, where there is strong demand for boutique luxury housing,” Mr Abedian said.
It will lodge a development application in late 2016, pending the proposed rezoning of the land as part of a review being undertaken by Pittwater Council and the State Government's UrbanGrowth NSW.
Sunland’s other Sydney developments include the $138 million Dahlia development in North Kellyville, which is under construction.

Sunland dives in again for Sydney Northern Beaches housing development

Two lots of prime land ideally suited to land banking at Hurstbridge in Melbourne’s outer north-east are up for grabs.
The sites at <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-residential+land-vic-hurstbridge-201318370" target="_blank">43 Haleys Gully Road </a>will be sold by expressions of interest closing November 18 with each lot expected to fetch more than $900,000.
The site is spread over 15.1 hectares, which can be purchased separately as 7.75 and 7.35 hectare lots.
According to listing agents Larry Takis of Teska Carson and Peter Koiker of Barry Plants, the site has potential for longer term subdivision subject to council approval. The property abuts an established residential subdivision.
The site is close to Hurstbridge railway station, shops, and school.
