Located on Beaconsfield Parade and designed by DKO Architecture, the state significant development comprises three buildings of up to 10 storeys and will include 399 residences, including 59 affordable homes and 40 adaptable homes.

Trump Hotel heads for the Gold Coast to become Australia's tallest building

More than a century after the Corrimal Coke Works first opened in 1912, the industrial landmark that helped shape the suburb is being reinterpreted as a walkable residential neighbourhood, with Stage One of <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/new-apartments/the-works-stage-one-27-railway-street-corrimal-nsw-2518">The Works</a> now underway at 27 Railway Street.

Brisbane CBD heritage building listed for sale

Zetland, an intact Hawthorn home that dates back to its design by architect William J. Ellis in the 1870s, has been sold.
In need of a full scale renovation, it reportedly fetched between $3.4 million and $3.7 million, which was its price guidance. 
It was bought by a local family with four bidders at its private auction.
Set under a slate roof, Zetland is a Victorian villa that contributed to the standing of Hawthorn's river-side precinct.
<a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-vic-hawthorn-130958986" target="_blank">The Yarra Street home </a>was an early sign of the affluent housing push which consolidated Hawthorn as a most desirable garden suburb.

Zetland was heritage listed on the Victorian Heritage Register in 1980 and on the national register in 1991.

There were also alterations for Studley House, Kew for James McEvoy, the Riverina squatter.

Ellis, who was also working for brewer Edward Latham on the Carlton brewery site, ran a successful architectural practice until the 1880s, concluding with the design of the Italianiate Queenscliff hotel, Ozone formerly known as Baillieu House, and Manresa, the Catholic presbytery at the Church of Immaculate Conception on Burwood Road, Hawthorn.
He also designed Bankside, the home next door to Zetland, which last sold in 2005 at $1.76 million. It had an $900,000 renovation approved in 2012.
Zetland, that sits on 980 square metres, comes with rare seven-arch arcaded ornamental ironwork verandah and balustrading.
Its seven rooms, including four bedrooms, come with all its period features, including wide arched hallway, marble open fireplaces, timber floors and even the servants bells.
At the rear of the property is the original Hawthorn brick stable which has been converted to a garage.
The Yarra Street subdivision, one of the earliest streets in Hawthorn, saw two adjoining allotments pass from the subdivision entrepreneur George Coppin to police detective Charles Black, who commissioned two similar houses.
It was the Lerwick, Shetland Island-born accountant John Robertson who bought the home in 1876 following Black's death and named it Zetland. He and wife, Robina had eight children. 
Zetland, which was then valued at 60 pounds on completion, remained in the Robertson name until 1914, when it was valued at 66 pounds. It had peaked at 95 pounds in the late 1880s before the depression.
Elberfeld, another early Victorian villa, secured an award in the 2018 Boroondara Urban Design Awards. 
Located on Lisson Grove, architect Jane Riddell redesigned the 1876 home for her client with a rear floating pavilion to sit in John Patrick landscaped gardens with a low-maintenance Japanese aesthetic.
The council records showed the renovations were costed at $1.3 million after its $3.1 million purchase in 2014.
Its names reflected the Püttmann family's German origins.

Horningsea Park, the intact early Georgian house built for Battle of Waterloo veteran and pastoralist settler Lieutenant Joshua Moore, has been listed for sale for the first time in 20 years.
<a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-nsw-horningsea+park-129193310" target="_blank">The 1839 heritage-listed, convict built mansion</a> overlooks a housing development. 
It was once the rental home in the 1840s to the explorer Count Paul Strzelecki, credited as discovering and naming Mount Kosciusko.
Horningsea Park was one of Governor Lachlan Macquarie's large pastoral grants made following the establishment of Liverpool in the 1810s.
The 500 acre property was granted to Moore conditional on 50 acres being cultivated within five years.
The Moore family sold Horningsea in 1855 to clear debts from the 1840s depression. The derelict house was classified by the National Trust of Australia in 1976, and saved from demolition after intervention from the Minister for Planning with a permanent conservation order coming in 1983. 
Offers over $3 million are being sought by Ray White Macarthur agent Brendan Lappan for the 9089 square metre holding which comes with massive Bunya pines and Moreton Bay Figs.
Dr David Webster, company founder and managing director of WebIT/ListOnce and wife Samantha plus their three school age children, have called Horningsea Park House home during which they installed an extension designed by heritage architect Howard Tanner.

The Ramsay Centre for Western Civilisation has leased Horbury House, a Macquarie Street building in the Sydney CBD, for its new headquarters.
The heritage offices at 171 Macquarie Street are owned by UK businessman Sir Martyn Arbib. The offices are his family's only known Australian investment. They cost $5.35 million in 2005.
Built in 1842, the Georgian style, three storey building has just undergone a full refurbishment.
The newly launched centre, which supports arts and humanities teaching at universities, signed a five-year lease on confidential terms.

Horbury House is a combined pair of three storey terraces with a basement, originally part of a terrace of seven residences extending from the corner, and part of a continuous streetscape of terraces.
They are one of the last residential terraces in Macquarie Street and are set between a 1970s office development and a 1940s office building.

Two residential properties in the historic suburb of Millers Point, including Sydney’s first ever walk-up apartment building and an entire row of period terrace duplexes, will be sold through auction on December 14.
There is a price guide of $9 million to $9.5 million, which will be the second most expensive Millers Point disposal, after a block of 12 apartments at 44-48 Merriman Street and 56-62 Bettington Street sold for $12.3 million in 2016.
They are being sold off by Property NSW on behalf of Family and Community Services as part of the Millers Point sales programme to fund social housing. So far, the sales have delivered more than $467 million.
As of August, 655 new social housing dwellings have been completed and 422 dwellings are under construction, Property NSW said in a media release.
‘Stevens Buildings’ at 73 Windmill Street (picture above) is of architectural importance and is recognised by the NSW Trust as the first residential apartment building to be constructed in NSW.
Designed by renowned architect Joseph Alexander Kethel (1866-1946), the heritage building sits on a 1,802 sqm site and comprises 11 apartments (nine x one bedroom and two x two bedrooms) capturing views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Garrison Church and Observatory Hill.
It was built in 1900 as a boarding house on the site of the former ‘Live and Let Live Hotel’ and was the first walk-up block of flats in Sydney.
Some apartments offer dual aspect and flow through. All have open balconies with the ground floor with its own courtyard.
The other building, 74-80a High Street, comprises eight two-bedroom period terrace duplexes divided into two blocks each comprising four apartments on a 539 sqm island site. 74-80a High Street is expected to fetch about $8 million to $8.5 million.
The block is one of a group of early twentieth century workmen’s apartments built by the Sydney Harbour Trust in the early 1900’s.

Sydney’s first walk-up block of flats for sale in Millers Point

The Kirby family, founder of cinema chain Village Roadshow, is selling its two Mornington Peninsula cinemas.
The market expectations are in excess of $10 million.
The offering included the historic 1894-built Sorrento cinema on Ocean Beach Road, which the Kirby family has owned for more than 70 years, and the more modern multi-screen complex in Rosebud.
The Sorrento cinema was originally called the Sorrento Athenaeum Hall - the home of travelling shows with performers appearing during the summer holidays. 
The larger Rosebud cinema is on a 2800 sq m site on Rosebud Parade with seating for 792 people across a five-screen cinema complex
CBRE has the listing with local agency Prentice Real Estate, with Charter Keck Cramer acting as transaction adviser. 
Village Roadshow was founded by the late Roc Kirby who turned a small family-run cinema business on the Mornington Peninsula into an entertainment giant, taking it public in 1989.
His sons Robert and John are on the board of Village Roadshow.
Both Mornington Peninsula cinemas are being offered for sale with 10-year lease terms to local cinema chain Peninsula Cinemas, which also has ties to the Kirby family.

Kirby family to sell Sorrento cinema after seven decades, but retain leaseback

Development firm Match won two awards at the 2017 Western Australian Heritage Awards for work rebuilding Fremantle’s iconic Dalgety Wool Stores into residential industrial warehouse apartments.
The heritage restoration project, worth $130 million, won the  ‘Conservation or Adaptive Reuse of a State Registered Place’, and the prestigious Gerry Gauntlett Award.

The development, named Heirloom, kept over 85 percent of heritage fabric across 183 apartments and included the rebuild of the saw tooth roof.
The site had been unused for 20 years.

Heritage awards for massive restoration of Fremantle's iconic Dalgety Wool Stores

The Pontiac Land Group from Singapore has been awarded the rights to develop the two heritage sandstone buildings in Sydney's Bridge Street.
It will become a $300 million, 240-room luxury hotel after the leasehold sale by the NSW Government.
The developer secured the long-term lease of the former Lands Building at 23-33 Bridge Street and the 1915 Education Building at 35-39 Bridge Street.
The property portfolio of the billionaire Kwee family already includes luxury hotels, the Ritz-Carlton Millenia and the Regent Four Seasons hotel in Singapore.
It will pay $35 million for the 103-year lease of the 19th century landmarks. 
"This flagship hotel is all about making smarter use of our property assets. Proceeds from the lease will be reinvested in infrastructure, and there will be substantial savings to NSW taxpayers on avoided maintenance," NSW Minister for Finance, Services and Property, Dominic Perrottet said.
"Importantly, these iconic heritage assets will be enjoyed by locals, tourists and visitors, rather than just being used as offices for bureaucrats." 
A concept plan approved by the NSW Planning Department allows for up to three additional storeys on the Department of Education building which lies between Loftus and Young streets. 
Construction is expected to commence after the buildings are vacated in 2018.
