The enormity of delivering a true skyscraper in Australia's new development market is often overlooked.

It has taken the best part of a decade since plans for Chevron One were first unveiled, but the 41-storey tower is now complete, with residents collecting their keys and moving into what has become one of the Gold Coast's most recognisable new landmarks.

Rising 127 metres above Chevron Island, Chevron One stands almost twice as high as any other building on the island. The tower has been the talk of the town for years, says Ray White Projects Gold Coast agent Caitlin Rosenboom, who is selling the remaining apartments.

CEO of Property NSW, Brett Newman, said the property should attract strong interest given its proximity to major transport links and the strength of Macquarie Park’s office market.
“By selling this vacant, underutilised site the government can facilitate significant economic growth through the provision of more than 8,000 public and private sector jobs in the precinct," Newman said.
“Macquarie Park is already an economic and commercial powerhouse, and that reputation will be enhanced in the coming years as thousands of new jobs complement new housing and improved transport links in the precinct."
The commercial development site will be positioned around a large landscaped park after the NSW government lodged a planning proposal earlier this year to facilitate development of a 7,000 square metre park on the site, delivering more green space for the community.
Once the planning proposal is gazetted for the park, the government will lodge a development application to subdivide the site, with the City of Ryde Council to acquire and landscape the park using the government’s previously announced $6 million grant.
Expressions of interest will close on 14 December 2016, with development expected to be completed by mid-2019.

The sale of the 22 Blackburn Road property set a new price benchmark for area, with the site transacting for a record unit rate of $156,000 per unit, according to selling agents Jesse Radisich and Nick Peden of Savills.

NSW Government offers rare freehold Sydney harbourside parcel of land

A corner development site of nearly half an acre in Box Hill’s Major Development Precinct will fetch more than $20 million, according to marketing agents Savills.
The <a href="https://www.realcommercial.com.au/property-land+development-vic-box+hill-502057214" target="_blank">843 Whitehorse Road</a> property comprises a 1972 sqm land area, positioned adjacent to Box Hill Institute and close to Box Hill Hospital. 
It is soon to be rezoned to Commercial Zone 1, and will be sold subject to that rezoning process, according to Savills marketing agents Clinton Baxter, Nick Peden, and Jesse Radisich.

They also sold <a href="https://www.realcommercial.com.au/property-land+development-vic-box+hill-501972186" target="_blank">826-830 Whitehorse Road</a> for $30.8 million last month, on behalf of both Scope and Navy Health.
Box Hill has risen to national prominence as one of Australia’s leading apartment development destinations.
The property is for sale via expressions of interest closing August 31.
