Solstice will bring just 15 apartments to Prince Street -&nbsp;Cronulla&#39;s version of Bondi&#39;s Campbell Parade - offering unobstructed beach views across the amalgamated 1,700 sqm dress circle site.

In reality there&#39;s actually only 13 available to purchase, with the developers, GNK, wanting to retain the two penthouse apartments for themselves to reside, which are both set to feature wrap-around balconies and plunge pools.

GNK Developments, led by builder developers Geoffrey Mailey and David Hammond, amalgamated the site at 5-9 Prince Street at the northern end of Cronulla Beach, and had the Sydney-based EMK Architects design the H-shaped development, two buildings coming together to create the five-storey building.

Each apartment will span between 200 sqm and 365 sqm of living space and will have three to four bedrooms&nbsp;and will be kitted out with high-end Gaggenau appliances.

Laver Residential Project Directors James Lampropoulos and Dennis Vertzayias, who are exclusive agents for the project, said it&#39;s the best residential development&nbsp;Cronulla&#39;s ever seen.

So far apartment sales have ranged from $7.25 million to $9.5 million, setting a new price record for the suburb. Most apartments have been secured by&nbsp;mainly&nbsp;active downsizers who are keen on the healthy beachfront lifestyle and are downsizing from their waterfront family homes.

The same development team created the award-winning Bomborra around the corner for the locally well-known developer, who don&#39;t create too many multi-res projects.

A wave of local and interstate high-rollers have pinpointed the Sunshine Coast apartment market, with the local apartment developer, Cube Developments, seeing huge success at their&nbsp;Maroochydore apartment development, Nature by Cube.

Over three quarters of the luxury development has sold since it achieved development approval in August, totalling $32 million worth of sales to date.

Nature by Cube, on the dress circle The Esplanade,&nbsp;was pinned for 13 luxury apartments across eight-levels, crowned by an expansive 475 sqm penthouse.

But buyers have been keen on replicating the penthouse scale and level of luxury across the lower levels, combining two apartments to create the bigger space, with six bedrooms being combined.

Cube Developments Director Scott Juniper says&nbsp;that buyers are moving to the area and are looking to maintain inner-city luxuries alongside a post-COVID lifestyle shift.

The development firm, led by Christie Leet, has lodged plans for Perspective Nexus, their latest in the Perspective chain. The proposal comes after sell-out success at the nearby Perspective 488 and Perspective Two Sea.

Located on 1581&nbsp;sqm at&nbsp;949-953 Gold Coast Highway, Sherpa are planning a 14-storey building pitched at the downsizer. There will be just 34 apartments, half of the site's allowable density.

There will be just three and four-bedroom apartments, including three impressive three-level, four-bedroom sky-homes, which each has its own private roof access where there will be a pool and spa and 360 degree views across the Gold Coast.

For Helene Omeros, whose family owns and runs the multi-award winning Omeros Brothers Seafood Restaurant at Marina Mirage around the corner, and her husband&nbsp;Charles Millard, it was the option to completely customise their kitchen.

The couple are downsizing after buying a three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment on the 11th level of The Monaco,&nbsp;which is being developed by local developer Ignite Projects and designed by Rothelowman.

&ldquo;We&rsquo;re a close family and we spend a lot of time cooking and eating together so having the ideal kitchen is so important to us,&rdquo; Omeros said.

Omeros Brothers is a Gold Coast icon with the Omeros family having operated some of the country&rsquo;s leading restaurants for more than 40 years.&nbsp;

Millard said it is very important as the kitchen lends itself not just to the practicalities of cooking but entertaining as well.

&ldquo;The kitchen is always the focal point of entertaining at least for the first hour after guests arrive,&rdquo; he said.

&ldquo;That&rsquo;s why we want to be interacting with our guests rather than having our backs to them while we use the cooktop and ovens. &ldquo;We find it works best if the ovens and cooktop are built into the island bench facing the living area so that way the entertaining flows perfectly.

&ldquo;We don&rsquo;t get Broadwater views at our current building so that&rsquo;s a lovely change. The Monaco is also close enough to walk to my job at the family restaurant,&rdquo; she said.

&ldquo;I&rsquo;ve lived in Main Beach for six years and it has definitely grown on me, and my husband, who has been in Main Beach for over 18 years. It will be even better when we move into The Monaco.&rdquo;

Millard said he loves the &ldquo;village vibe&rdquo; of the suburb.

&ldquo;People are so nice here in Main Beach. It is a more mature area, but we do have younger people moving in.

&ldquo;The suburb has also historically held its value better than Broadbeach and Mermaid Beach during past downturns. We&rsquo;re now getting national press that Main Beach is where there is huge demand and not enough stock and that will keep going into next 
year.&rdquo;
