The Block Sky High topped Sunday night's rating with 1,628,000 metro capital viewers, according to the five cities metro ratings by OzTam.

There were 566,000 viewers in Melbourne and 473,000 in Sydney. The May launch episode had 1.312 million viewers.

Having hit the top spot, the challenge ahead for the show is to find buyers for the luxury apartments at 142 Park Street, South Melbourne.

The series has returned to the South Melbourne precinct undertaking the conversion of a recently closed 41-room hotel at the north-east corner of Park Street and Eastern Road.

The upper price expectations are $2 million.

The indications are prices could start at $1.5 million plus.

From the outset, local agents told Property Observer it would be a challenge finding the right buying mix.

Some agents have a little more optimism after the work on the exterior, although they wonder why the front entrance was put on the busier of the two street frontages.

House Rules, the Channel 7 show, goes up against The Voice grand final with a whole house reveal in Brisbane of the renovation rookie couple, Amy and Sean.

Prices estimates of completed house renovations have been put at well above their initial purchase costs.
