Peter Hall, from Hunter Hall, is having another attempt at selling his Double Bay property.

Hall has decided he’s staying in London for the time being, and his 1860 Customs House property didn't sell when listed late last year.

It's now set for auction on September 8 through McGrath agent Hamish Robertson in conjunction with Ray White Double Bay agent Ashley Bierman with $4.5 million-plus hopes.

Hall bought the intended home from the director of Trent Nathan, Shane Barr, and his wife, Catherine.

Nearby on the Double Bay water's edge is the trophy listing of the Pockley family's harbourside estate.

It's been held by the family since the 1940s.

The property sits on a 1,091-square-metre level cul-de-sac Bay Street block.

It comes with a private boatshed.

It's listed for sale by expressions of interest through Michael Dunn of Richardson & Wrench Double Bay.
