Delano Crows Nest reaches completion as Lindsay Bennelong prepares for resident handover
Lindsay Bennelong Developments has reached a key milestone at Delano Crows Nest, with the boutique residential project now officially complete following strata plan registration and the issuing of the occupation certificate.
The completion marks the delivery of 81 residences at 41 Falcon Street, concluding a carefully scaled infill project designed to bridge Crows Nest’s lively village centre with its surrounding heritage streets.
Designed by AJC Architects, Delano is arranged across three low-rise buildings, incorporating a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom apartments alongside a limited number of townhomes addressing Hayberry Lane. The architectural approach draws on the area’s Art Deco lineage, reinterpreted through contemporary detailing and framed by landscaped communal gardens.
Peter Campbell, Managing Director of Lindsay Bennelong Developments, said the project’s completion reflected a long-held focus on delivering housing that sits comfortably within its local context.
“Reaching completion at Delano is an important moment for our team and for the purchasers who will soon take ownership of their homes,” Campbell said. “From the outset, the priority was to deliver a building that respects the character of Crows Nest while offering residents a high-quality, considered place to live.”
The development steps down in height from a central seven-storey apartment building to lower-scale forms along Falcon Street, with townhomes reinforcing the established residential grain. Internally, residences feature herringbone engineered timber flooring, natural stone benchtops paired with integrated Miele appliances, and double-glazed windows throughout.
Sustainability and liveability were embedded throughout the design, with cross-ventilation incorporated across apartments, energy-efficient fixtures specified, and water-harvesting systems supporting landscaped areas. Shared amenities include a residents’ gym, an electric vehicle for communal use, and a central lawn with barbecue and seating zones .
Delano’s location places residents approximately 450 metres from the Crows Nest Metro Station, which has significantly improved connectivity to Sydney’s CBD and wider metropolitan network. Everyday amenity is also close at hand, with Woolworths, cafés, dining, and local retail clustered within a short walk, reinforcing the suburb’s village appeal.
“Our focus has always been on securing premium sites, so we were excited by the opportunity to reimagine this significant location,” said Campbell. “With the new Crows Nest Metro Station now operational, this sought-after locale is firmly in the spotlight."
Campbell said collaboration with the local community and consultant team was central to the project’s delivery.
"We worked closely with the community throughout the planning process to ensure the design respected and enhanced the neighbourhood's character,” he said. "I’m confident that we have collaboratively achieved a place to live poised to become an important part of Crows Nest's rich and diverse architectural fabric."
