Western Sydney developer ALAND set its sights on Gosford just over two years ago, when it secured a prime site on the corner of two of Gosford's best-located streets.

They went about creating <a href="/new-apartments/archibald-by-aland-gosford-108-donnison-street-gosford-nsw-2250">Archibald by ALAND</a>, a mixed-use development comprising both apartments and luxury hotel rooms.

Named after Archibald Acheson, the second Earl of Gosford, Archibald by ALAND features 327 apartments, a 130-room voco® hotel, and six hospitality venues, including the Central Coast’s highest rooftop bar.

Over 95 per cent of the apartments in the development have already sold, marking the project one of the most successful across Greater Sydney for a number of years.

The development industry on the Gold Coast seems to be coming out of the other side of the construction that plagued the industry for the last several years.

Many developers have had to react in a way they had never been able to predict four years ago. The likes of <a href="/developers/iris-capital">Iris Capital</a>, <a href="/developers/siera">Siera Property Group</a> and <a href="/developers/andrews">Andrews Projects</a> have brought construction inhouse, mitigating the risk of appointing an external builder.

Following a difficult period of 12 months trying to secure a builder and manage the expectations of those who had already purchased in the luxury building, Steer Developments Director Rob Steer decided to take matters into his own hands becoming the head contractor.

Civil and infrastructure works at Sunkin Property Group's Highett Common are all but complete, signalling significant progress toward Victoria's first medium-density net zero community.&nbsp;

The advancements in the project's early stages will pave the way for the main works on site to continue to move forward.

The latest updates from the construction team highlight the installation of inground electrical infrastructure and street lighting to ensure Highett Common remains a connected community precinct and achieves the goal of an all-electric development.

Extensive work has also been undertaken on sub-base installation and access roads.&nbsp;

Additionally, basement works in the two apartment buildings of stage one are progressing, with wall concreting at 80 per cent completion and ongoing waterproofing at North Lane.

Construction work continued to advance following the project’s sod-turning ceremony in May.&nbsp;

In June, <a href="/builders/sk-construction">SK Construction</a> made significant strides in the installation of precast columns and stair and lift shafts extending from the basements to the underside of the second levels, marking a further progression in the vertical construction of the building.&nbsp;

The first release, Park House, is already 70 per cent sold and features one, two, and three-bedroom residences designed by <a href="/architects/clarke-hopkins-clarke-0">Clarke Hopkins Clarke Architects</a> and <a href="/landscape-architect/tract-landscape-architects">Tract Landscape Architects</a>.

The <a href="/developments/highett-vic-3190">Highett</a>&nbsp;development includes state-of-the-art amenities such as gyms, wellness areas, swimming pools and sun-drenched decks.&nbsp;

It also features a private dining room, indoor and outdoor lounge areas, and spaces dedicated to work, study, workshops, and community meetings, including a new public library.

<a href="/developers/sunkin-property-group">Sunkin Property Group</a>&nbsp;is expecting the first stage of the development to be complete by late 2025.
