Patonga Beach Hotel on NSW’s Central Coast has been sold, five months after being listed with $10 million sale hopes.

Listed by the Osborne family, the Patonga Beach Hotel and the adjoining fish shop is set in the gully on the shores of Broken Bay at the mouth of the Hawkesbury River.

No sale price or buyer has yet been revealed.

It is the only hotel in a 12-kilometre radius.

It is opposite the Patonga Beach ferry wharf, popular with day-trippers and visitors from the Central Coast.

Jones Lang LaSalle Hotel and Hospitality Group agent John Musca had the 1546 square metre hotel offering, the only hotel in the two bays.

"There's no doubt that by incorporating the adjoining fish shop building and subject to necessary approvals, you could expand the boutique accommodation to become another Raes on Wategos, in Byron Bay," Musca said.

"Many in the industry believe the hotel would be perfect for a celebrity chef hotel style repositioning, similar to that being embarked upon by TV chef George Calombaris in recent acquisition of the Hobsons Bay Hotel in Preston," the marketing suggested.
