Logan takes the biggest hit among Brisbane regional cities: September quarter REIQ
Logan City’s housing market was Brisbane’s worst-performing surrounding metropolitan region, according September quarter figures from the Real Estate Institute of Queensland.
Houses in Logan City declined by 4.2% over the three months to September 2011 to a median value of $300,000.
In comparison Brisbane suburbs recorded a 1.7% decline over the same period to $427,500.
All the other regional centres recorded median house price declines greater than Brisbane with Ipswich City house prices falling 3.2%, Moreton Bay houses down 2.6% and Redland City house prices down 1.9%.
