Frasers Property and Sekisui House appoint Starwood Hotels at Central Park
A $150 million hotel being developed by Frasers Property Australia and Sekisui House at Sydney’s $2 billion Central Park urban village is to be branded a Starwood hotel.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts director of acquisitions and development, Andrew Taylor, said the 297-room hotel will be branded Four Points by Sheraton Central Park.
It was designed by British architects Foster + Partners to appeal to both leisure and corporate travellers.
The Australian reported Starwood, which will merge with Marriott in a $US14bn ($19bn) deal next month, creating the world’s largest hotel company, won the tender against three other international operators including one of Frasers Property’s own brands.
The hotel will be open by early 2018.
