Victoria's first 6 Star NABERS Energy rated building

Diversified property giant Mirvac has secured nearly a 70 percent increase in their profits given booming real estate markets.
The total profit of $1.033 billion is a sharp increase from its $610 million last year.
The group's operating profit however only rose six percent to $482 million from $455 million.
The jump in profits is down to the revaluation of investment properties - and the ones under construction - which totals $497 million, considerably higher than the $141 million posted last year. 
The group's office and industrial assets contributed $796 million to the totter $1.033 billion profit.
The office portfolio was boosted by recycling assets with sales of $1.6 billion since 2014, showing a passing yield of 7.1 percent.
Each sector of the groups market reported large boosts.

The residential land division business more than doubled from the year before and profits from retail rose to $243 million.
Their Woodlea, Rockbank subdivision in Melbourne's north-west and its Googong project in NSW secured the largest volume of sales.
They negotiated 258 offshore buyers and secured residential presages for the year of $2.9 billion, up nearly $1 billion on the previous year.
New developments for the group included 200 George Street and 8 Chifley in Sydney, Treasury Building in Perth and 699 Bourke Street in Melbourne.
Mirvac declared a final dividend of 5.2 cents a share, taking the total for unit holders over the year to 9.9 cents, up five per cent on the previous year.

Construction company Hindmarsh's Adelaide, Bowden development The Bowery is almost completely sold out as construction reaches its highest structural point of seven storeys.
Hindmarsh has sold 52 of the 54 apartments at The Bowery ahead of its 2017 completion.
The remaining apartments feature two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a car space, priced from $465,000.

Comedian Gina Riley and her husband, TV producer Rick McKenna, have spent $4.85 million on a former pub conversion in Melbourne's Windsor-Prahran precinct.
Complete with its own rooftop garden with heated pool, sauna and orchard, the striking red brick property has five bedrooms, three bathrooms and two open living spaces.
RT Edgar selling agent Mark Wridgway said he'd never sold a property quite as unique.
Having began life as the Windsor Red Lion Hotel during the 1860s gold rush, the pub closed in the 1920's and was used as a shirt-making factory and an ironmonger's workshop before being converted into the stylish warehouse-style home by Angela Sach.
Riley broke onto TV screen as a performer in the sketch shows Fast Forward, sending-up singers including Paula Abdul, Bette Midler, Sinèad O'Connor and Dannii Minogue.

Comedian Gina Riley buys former Prahran pub

DomaCom Limited CEO Arthur Naoumidis has announced the company has increased the minimum raising to $6 million ahead of its impending IPO.
The corresponding underwriting commitment has also increased to $6 million to ensure that the minimum is fully underwritten.
The closing date of the offer remains at August 19.
Arthur said the company is continuing to work diligently on a number of initiatives including ongoing discussions with Retal Superannuation Fund to participate in the Kidman transaction being conducted by DomaCom.
“These discussions have progressed to the point that the company believes that the Retail Fund is likely to add the DomaCom Kidman Station to one of their funds with the potential to successfully raise the capital to acquire the land component of S.Kidman &amp; Company," Arthur said.
"There can, however, be no guarantee that this project will complete."
Arthur suggested that DomaCom is also in advanced discussions with a national charity that has a multi-billion dollar land bank including significant land holding bequeathed to the charity. 
“We feel this initiative may appeal to investors also looking for an ethical and socially responsible investment”, he said.
The proposal is to use the DomaCom platform to allow investors to partner with the charity to convert the bequeathed land to affordable housing. 
DomaCom can now confirm that its modelling does not show any need to raise further capital in the next two years thanks to the increased minimum capital raising and improved outlook for significant transactions.

Expected to have fetched around $7 million, RED Property donated the $141,000 commission to the Melanoma Foundation. Its the Bayview home where Tim Robards handed out the roses.
James Economides was the selling agent of the home which was owned by retired transport magnate Greg Poche and his wife Kayvan.

RED Property donate Bayview, Bachelor home sale commission to charity

The shifting of Melbourne's CBD closer toward Docklands continues apace, according to Cromwell Property Group, who have announced a new long term lease on Collins Street.
Open Universities Australia will move into <a href="https://www.cromwell.com.au/property-portfolio/victoria/226/700-collins-street" target="_blank">700 Collins Street</a> in January 2017 on an 8-year lease and will occupy 2,682 sqm.
Cromwell purchased the building in 2004, and the 100 percent occupancy rate was achieved after securing the building's two major tenants to long term lease agreements.
The Bureau of Meteorology has executed a new lease for a further 10 years of their 15,500 sqm space. 
Melbourne train operator Metro has consolidated its space in the building, taking another 2,500 sqm that will see it occupy over 10,000 sqm for the next decade.
The high demand for the area makes the 2004 investment a real success for Cromwell, said Damian Horton, Cromwell’s Head of Property.
“As Melbourne CBD is shifting further westward along Collins Street and closer to Docklands, Cromwell’s investment has proven to be forward thinking. We were among the first to invest in what is now called ‘mid-point’, a highly sought after area,” Mr Horton said. 
“It’s an investment true to our philosophy. We try to carefully evaluate the potential of each of our properties to see where the demand will be and 700 Collins Street is proof of the effectiveness of this approach. 
“It also validates our strategy to actively manage our assets to enhance their value, and make sure that our tenants want to stay, and in doing so, keeping the turnover as low as possible.”

Sydney architect Domenic Alvaro’s strikingly small, five storey Surry Hills house sold for $1.88 million in 2014, to rank as Sydney's priciest custom built one bedder.

The Modern House agency has a $1.55 million asking price on the highly contemporary, yet 1998-built offering.
It was custom designed for photographer Greg Barrett by Furio Valich at Gordon + Valich Architects, in partnership with Belinda Koopman Architects.
In its bushland Cynthea Road location, the house was the winner of the RAIA Merit Award for Housing in 1999 with its Sydney School architectural influences obvious given the use of the site's sandstone and angophora.
The one bedroom house is made up of a main, open living and dining space on the ground floor and a small upper floor bedroom.
All up just a modest 85 square metre internal space, there's an additional 81 square metres of external deck and terrace space.
"Belinda and Jim Koopman’s design succeeds on all counts," said the listing agent Marcus Lloyd-Jones at Modern House.
Barrett paid $300,000 in 1990 for the land.
Sydney's highest known one bedroom apartment sale was hooked recently by the fishing guru Rex Hunt who sold his Quay Grand apartment on Macquarie Street for $2.05 million.
It was back in 1999 when Hunt paid $690,000 to buy into the Mirvac developed complex.
Ettiene West at Morton Sydney secured the off market sale of the 75 sqm one bedroom.

The priciest offering in the area is former politician John Hewson's Invergowrie, which has $6.5 million plus hopes.
