The apartments, a mix of two- and three-bedrooms, will sit above a retail-focused ground plane and under extensive rooftop resident amenities.

BDA said in its planning submission that the project is intended to support the area’s transition toward higher-density, mixed-use living. “This project offers the opportunity to generate appropriate higher-intensity development within the future Light Rail corridor of <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/developments/mermaid-beach-qld-4218">Mermaid Beach</a>,” the submission noted.

At ground level, Glenelg Residences will include eight retail tenancies designed to activate the street frontage, complemented by a basement bar offering an additional hospitality element. Above, residents will have access to a rooftop amenity deck featuring an infinity pool, hot and cold plunge spas, day beds, and barbecue facilities.

The architectural approach adopts a restrained material palette of brick, textured concrete, and integrated landscaping, with cantilevered concrete frames and cascading planting intended to soften the built form. BDA described the design as aiming to create “a memorable sculptural mid-rise mixed-use building” that responds to both its coastal setting and urban context.

Selling Houses Australia films in Brisbane this weekend at a home in the south west suburb of Jamboree Heights.

The home is scheduled for a transformation by&nbsp;Shaynna Blaze, Andrew Winter and Charlie Albone on the Lifestyle Channel show now in its 11th season.

The listing agent Helen Saba of More Estate Agents confirmed to the Courier Mail that the before shots and comments would be filmed this Saturday at the open home.

&ldquo;Many are looking at older homes to renovate and make it a comfortable investment to live in,&rdquo; she said.

With growth of 33.% in the past five years, interest in Jamboree Heights was heating up, she said.

The home at 28 Troop Street, Jamboree Heights last sold in 2016 at $530,000.

The Queensland beachfront cottage that appeared on last night&#39;s Selling Houses Australia only fetched $13,500 more than it sold for in 2011.

The home on the <a href="https://www.propertyobserver.com.au/%20https:/www.realestate.com.au/sold/property-house-qld-campwin+beach-126309502" target="_blank">beachfront at Campwin Beach</a> in Mackay sold for $415,000, after it sought $380,000 to $430,000.

First National Mackay Sarina Nebo agent Greg Brady sold the home after 215 days.

Interior designer Shaynna Blaze worked her magic, particularly on the kitchen, where she freshened up the bench tops plus cupboarding and added an island.

Starting his career in a real estate agency at the age of 17, Andrew was selling real estate across three decades.
Andrew and his family moved to Australia in 2005 where he went on to establish a boutique real estate agency with his wife. 
In 2008 the agency was sold to allow for more time for the family and to allow him to focus on his media career.
2016 and 2017 have seen Andrew expand his property interests to include direct involvement in the development of a small scale innovative terrace housing scheme in Brisbane.

Selling Houses Australia kicks off 11th season

The team at Selling Houses Australia has transformed an 18th century church in Black Hills, 110 kilometres north east of Adelaide, after it had been on the market since this time last year.

The marketing through Ennis Partners North Adelaide agent Richard Colley now suggests <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-acreage+semi+rural-sa-black+hill-124145650" target="_blank">it is under contract</a> after having a price tag of $250,000.

Colley said it received limited buyer interest over the past year despite its strong potential as a holiday investment.

&ldquo;We&rsquo;ve previously had the property on the market but I will admit, it was looking pretty sad,&rdquo; Colley told realestate.com.au.

&ldquo;One day, we were approached by Selling Houses Australia to do a TV program and renovate the church. The result is just &hellip; wow!

Before the makeover by Andrew Winter, Shaynna Blaze and Charlie Albone, the former Black Hill Lutheran Church on Black Hill Road.

The two bedroom property, freshly painted, now features a brand new tiled bathroom, upgraded kitchen, wooden floorboard and several living spaces.

The two bedroom church sits on 4,000 sqm and was purchased in the early 2000&#39;s and converted in to a private residence.

&ldquo;The vendors purchased the property to run as a holiday home but unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, it didn&rsquo;t work out that way,&rdquo; Colley said. 
&ldquo;The property is a great buy and we did have some interest, predominantly from buyers with a low-economic background but they just couldn&rsquo;t get the finance approved.

&ldquo;They people we&rsquo;re looking at target now, following the transformation, are a completely different demographic.

&ldquo;I think the way it stands now, the property will appeal to investors who see value for money as the property is only located an hour from Adelaide and the Murray River is less than 18km away.&rdquo;

A restored Cobbitty cottage featured on the popular Selling Houses Australia TV show was one of the best renovation sale outcomes on the recent series.&nbsp;

The Foxtel Lifestyle team are now looking for another 13 fixer-uppers with one already earmarked for Campwin Beach in Mackay, Queensland.

The <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/sold/property-house-nsw-cobbitty-122899102" target="_blank">restored Cobbitty cottage</a> featured in the recent season of Selling Houses Australia sold quickly after its renovation.

Vendor Maree Kovac&nbsp;enlisted the help of the Selling Houses team after not getting the price she wanted for the home when she listed it for five months last year.

Kovac was asking $778,000 to $865,000 for the unrenovated home that she bought for $349,500 in 2002.

The inspectees at the mid-2016 open for inspections were advised to come back once the renovation of the three bedroom home was undertaken by&nbsp;property expert Andrew Winter, the landscaper Charlie Albone and interior designer Shaynna Blaze.

A rotting veranda had wrapped the dilapidated 1880s cottage that once stood alone overlooking the rolling hills of the Macarthur region.

Seriously deteriorated, the front of the home was completely overgrown.

Albone&#39;s work saw him remove the rotting veranda and reconstruct a new one using Cyprus pine.

The home was painted from its baby blue to a grey and a bright red front door.

Blaze, who focuses on the interior, added polypropylene plastic tiles, adding &#39;Alice in Wonderland&#39; style flooring to the kitchen which featured a new wooden bench top and sink.

The rooms were dressed&nbsp;in a French Provincial style, adding additional character and charm.

United Acreage Tanya Novek sold the three bedroom, two bathroom home &#39;immediately&#39; after the renovation for $835,000.
