The group, who have a string of projects across Bellevue Hill, Bondi Junction and Rose Bay, will develop just seven apartments on a large 1470 sqm block at 440 Edgecliff Road.

PBD has handled the architecture, aiming to blend the new&nbsp;six-storey building seamlessly with the surrounding context.

Four three-bedroom apartments and three penthouse-size apartments will be on offer, each extending onto generously-sized balconies or terraces, positioned to flow from primary living spaces and take advantage of the sites northernly aspect.

A modulated facade will front Edgecliff Road, with a central void space at the lower ground floor and ground floor levels. Levels four to six will reduce the perceived external bulk and scale, with setbacks applied to the front, sides and rear of the building. 

Tying in with the Edgecliff locale, an exisiting sandstone wall will be preserved on the site, with masonry cladded blade walls used as a unifying element to the upper and lower levels of the building.

Duncan, best remembered for her roles on cop shows Division 4, Matlock Police, Water Rats and Homicide, bought the two-bedroom apartment for $450,000 in 1999, around the time she was appearing on All Saints.
With 97 square metres of internal space, it had come with hopes of $1.1 million through Jane Schumann of Raine &amp; Horne.

The late Ainsley Gotto’s stylish Edgecliff apartment, which has views of Sydney Harbour, is to be listed following the sale of its furnishings and artworks.
The former public servant who passed away in February is best remembered when serving as prime minister John Gorton’s principal private secretary in the late 1960s.
Georgia Cleary, of BradfieldCleary, has the listing of the apartment, after instructions from the estate’s executors, retired politician Helen Coonan and solicitor Nicholas Eddy.
Spanning 155 square metres, it comes with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Gotto, who had the personal motto prudens simplicitus (prudent simplicity), purchased the apartment in November 2007 for $1.2 million.

Auctioneers Lawsons are <a href="http://www.lawsons.com.au/asp/searchresults.asp?pg=2&amp;ps=100&amp;sale_no=8800" target="_blank">selling the contents of her Edgecliff Road apartment</a>.
There are portraits of Gotto among the 262 lots on offer, including an elegant June Mendoza painting (above).
Other items include a framed cartoon by Jeff Hook of the Sun News- Pictorial and a 1971 Woman’s Day poster, headlined 'What Makes Ainsley Gotto Tick?' Plus, six bottles of shiraz.

The Babington-Lees family, capitalised on strong market conditions, securing $33.25 million when their block of 11 units in Edgecliff went to auction tonight.
They have owned it for nearly 80 years.
The top bidder was wearing a cap promoting Woollahra's Hughenden Hotel, which recently sold to former Glencore executive, Vaughan Blank.
The underbidder for the trophy asset was wearing a polo shirt promoting Quantum, which is connected to the Burcher family who sail the yacht Quantum.
Michael Lowry bid to the low $30 millions. Eduard Litver did not place any bids. Richard Sheinberg attended the 6.30pm auction. Developer Philippe Remond had hoped to be in the mix.
Bidding opened at $15 million, with the agents having taken through around 200 groups during its marketing.
Auctioneer James Keenan formally announced it on the market when bidding passed $30 million.
The art deco building (above) cost £29,000 in 1938, three years after it was built.
The property was expected to fetch about $20 million when expressions of interest through CBRE and Ray White Double Bay were opened.
An unprecedented level of interest saw the campaign swapped to an auction sale.
Eynesbury, at 22 Albert Street, Edgecliff, has a rental return of $690,000 a year.
It includes 10 three-bedroom units each of about 164 square metres each.
There is one 400-square-metre penthouse, with harbour views.

The building was on one title, on a 1296 square metre parcel, which could potentially be converted to strata for onsale.
