BDA said in its planning submission that the project is intended to support the area’s transition toward higher-density, mixed-use living. “This project offers the opportunity to generate appropriate higher-intensity development within the future Light Rail corridor of <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/developments/mermaid-beach-qld-4218">Mermaid Beach</a>,” the submission noted.

Langley Hall, one of Bendigo's most historic residences, has been listed for sale.
It has been operating as a B&amp;B, fetching between $175 and $200 a night for a room.
The Edwardian landmark in White Hills was built in the early 1900s for Henry Langley, the first Anglican Bishop of Bendigo.
The mansion and its collective buildings comprise over 1,200 square metres, including a grand manor and chapel.
There are 15 bedrooms. In World War I the large living and dining areas were used as medical residential accomodation and the hall was a recuperation centre for returned soldiers.
The 9045 square metre grounds have been restored to maintain the vision of architects William Vahland and John Beebe.
Vahland is regarded as being the principal 19th century architect in Bendigo.

Langley Hall last traded for $1.61 million in 2010.
It has been operating as a B&amp;B, fetching between $175 and $200 a night for a room.

Local selling agents are reporting a shortage of stock
across all segments which is to be expected in the winter season, the report noted.
Many small to medium-sized developers are active, putting units and townhouses to the market with success.
This is predominantly within the central suburbs of Bendigo on infill sites and marketed to both investors and first home buyers.
Yields across Bendigo are generally slightly lower than that of other regional cities however the stable market conditions still attract investors.
The valuation firm's forecast for the Bendigo residential market is one of steady growth.
Many people will be following the RBA’s decision on interests rates as this has the potential to reduce demand on a macro level.

Older period homes in vogue in Bendigo residential market: HTW

For the first time in more than 30 years, one of Bendigo’s premier historic homes is on the market.
Newington, on Barnard Street in Bendigo, has been listed by Barry Plant Bendigo.
The property was built in the late 1860s by stonemason, James Brierly, who is best known for building Bendigo’s oldest building, Specimen Cottage.
Alterations carried out in the late 1890s are believed to be the work of local architect, William Beebe, including the beautiful cast-iron trimmed front façade.
The building now has a number of modern conveniences including automated smart home technology, programmable hydronic floor and skirting board heating and top of the range appliances.
“Newington is testament to the stunning architecture of old Bendigo," Bill Williams, at Barry Plant Bendigo said.
Situated on 600 square metres with rear access from Rosalind Street, the property will be sold via tender concluding June 12.

The Schaller Studio officially rebranded as Quest property in Bendigo

Historic Ravenswood Run Homestead – considered the birthplace of Bendigo – is for sale. The property offers 23 bedrooms and 18 bathrooms.
The 14-hectare estate, which once had its own train station, <a href="https://www.realcommercial.com.au/property-hotel+leisure-vic-ravenswood-502589790" target="_blank">has $3.6 million plus hopes</a>.
Ravenswood Homestead was built in the late 1850s on the former sheep station known as the Mount Alexander North Run, which covered about 47,753 hectares.
It was around Bendigo’s first gold find.
