The Prescott Lindfield approved as People Purpose Time enters Sydney apartment market

People Purpose Time is set to make its Sydney apartment development debut after securing approval for The Prescott, its 93-residence project in Lindfield on Sydney's Upper North Shore.

The emerging Australian asset management and property development company has received development approval for the nine-storey project at 24-28 Middle Harbour Road, following the lodgement of a State Significant Development Application in May 2025.

The Prescott will comprise 93 two, three and four-bedroom apartments, including a collection of larger family-sized residences and penthouses.

DKO Architecture has designed the building, while Woods Bagot is behind the interiors.

The approval is the first major step into residential development for People Purpose Time, founded by Vy Hua and Anh Duong following more than 30 years of combined experience across international business, banking technology, finance, commerce and professional services.

It is also a project with a considerably more personal origin than most new apartment developments.

Hua and Duong initially purchased a family home on Middle Harbour Road with the intention of establishing a long-term base in Lindfield.

Conversations with their neighbours eventually created the opportunity to amalgamate the properties at 24, 26 and 28 Middle Harbour Road, transforming what began as a family home purchase into the site for the company's flagship development.

"Our first project is deeply personal because it began with our own family's property purchase and a desire to make a lasting home in Lindfield, a suburb we love and intend to stay in for the long term," Hua said.

"However, conversations with our neighbours led to us amalgamating our properties at 24, 26 and 28 Middle Harbour Road, where we now aim to build something more meaningful in the shape of The Prescott, a new residential community that will be our flagship development.

"Securing development approval means we can now get to work on delivering that vision and at the same time, set a standard for everything that follows in our pipeline across Sydney."

That personal connection will continue beyond development of the site.

Hua and Duong intend to live at The Prescott once it is completed and retain ownership within the project, something Hua said has influenced how the building has been designed and the standard the company expects to deliver.

"We intend to live in and retain ownership at The Prescott once it is complete, and that alignment between developer, resident and long-term owner shapes the standard we expect of ourselves and the responsibility we accept," Hua said.

The apartments themselves have been designed predominantly for buyers looking for more space, with two, three and four-bedroom configurations aimed at delivering an alternative to the traditional family home on the Upper North Shore.

"The Prescott is a labour of love for People Purpose Time and the product of an enormous amount of thought, collaboration and care," Hua said.

"It is our goal for this community to provide homes for people who value the space, permanence and sense of belonging that comes with a family house, together with the security and convenience of thoughtfully designed apartment living."

That approach extends into an unusually broad amenity offering for a 93-apartment development.

Residents will have access to a lounge and concierge, dedicated business centre and co-working space, private dining room and kitchen, wine cellar, library, screening room and music room.

The wellness offering includes a swimming pool, gym and yoga space alongside a steam room, infrared sauna and cold plunge pool, all integrated within landscaped communal areas.

Hua said the intention was for the shared spaces to feel like extensions of the apartments rather than simply a collection of amenities.

"Our vision is to introduce a more considered expression of luxury apartment living to the Upper North Shore, with resident amenities designed as beautiful extensions of the home," he said.

"Each space responds to how people genuinely want to live, work, entertain, connect and recharge, with the attention to detail, quality of finish and service associated with luxury hotels."

The Prescott will sit on the eastern side of Lindfield, around an eight-minute walk from Lindfield Station.

Middle Harbour Road's leafy residential character puts the development within easy reach of local schools, parks and cafés, while its proximity to the station connects residents with Chatswood, North Sydney and the Sydney CBD.

The development will also include an affordable housing component reserved for essential workers, which People Purpose Time says will follow the same architectural and interior design vision as the private residences.

The Prescott is the first project expected to emerge from People Purpose Time's broader Sydney development pipeline.

The company also controls development sites in Killara, Canterbury and Hurlstone Park, which it intends to progressively develop following its debut in Lindfield.

For Hua, however, The Prescott will establish the blueprint.

"Middle Harbour Road is one of Lindfield's most coveted addresses, and The Prescott has been carefully designed to reflect the quality and character of this exceptional setting," he said.
