The retired chairman of Ogilvy & Mather John Hopkins and his wife, Linda, have listed their Southern Highlands property, Oast House.

Set overlooking Morton National Park, Oast House is a master built, traditional Australian country homestead.

The Bundanoon house is set on a 20-acre (eight-hectare) holding with views stretching for around 25 kilometres.

The landscaped grounds have lawn areas, established garden beds and native, exotic trees and mass bulb plantings. There's also a  three-hole bush golf course.

It's been listed by McKillop Property agent Jeremy Crawford for November 24 auction with $1.5 million-plus hopes.

John Hopkins retired as chairman of Ogilvy & Mather in 1990 to joined rival multinational advertising agency Foote Cone and Belding as chief executive for its Sydney office.
