Resort-style living shapes Senso, Epping residences

A resort experience does not necessarily begin at the pool. At Senso in Epping, Turner Studio has carried its resort-inspired brief into the residences across the five-building precinct.
Developed and built by DASCO, Senso includes 479 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments alongside a penthouse collection, with residences oriented across a site of more than 10,000 sqm.
Designed to reflect the project’s “resort-style sensibility”, Turner Studio’s interiors draw on warm timber-look finishes, bold natural stone accents and layered, textured metal details. Textural layering and gently curved forms recur throughout the apartments, with two interior palettes shifting the material expression between the warmer tones of Oak and the cooler hues of Ash.
From the living areas, floor-to-ceiling glass draws light into the apartments and frames outlooks towards the Blue Mountains to the west and the Sydney skyline to the south-east. These spaces open directly onto private terraces, extending the main living areas outdoors rather than treating the balcony as a separate element. Select apartments add multipurpose media rooms or studies to the floorplan.
The kitchen sits within this open living arrangement, featuring 20mm engineered-stone benchtops with gently rounded corners that continue the curved language elsewhere in the project. Sculptural Paco Jaanson tapware sits above the work surface, with SMEG induction cooktops, ovens and microwaves, and a concealed stainless-steel undermount rangehood keeping the overhead cabinetry visually clean.
The bathrooms continue the quieter material palette. Stone-inspired ceramic tiles cover the floors and walls, while vertically laid feature tiles introduce contrast and depth. Fluted basins establish another layer of texture, with fluted baths used in bathrooms where a bath is included, alongside Paco Jaanson hardware.
That attention to the private interiors begins before the apartment door. Senso’s lobbies use marble and timber across the walls, with curved archways softening the spaces and feature lighting illuminating lounge areas and a curated artwork collection. Secure parking and private storage connect to softly illuminated lifts leading to the residential floors.
The interiors also echo the project’s broader architectural language, with curved joinery and fluted features carrying its forms into the residences.
Brick defines the lower storeys at a more human scale, while the upper levels are screened by a terracotta veil to the east and open to balconies facing western district outlooks. At ground level, the design incorporates a pedestrian-focused through-site link and commercial and dining uses along Beecroft Road.
The residences sit within a wider brief that DASCO gave Turner Studio: to “create a community where residents are completely immersed in a paradise for the senses."
Beyond the apartments, more than 4,000 sqm of resident-only amenity extends the resort-style concept across the precinct, including two rooftop pools, a rooftop cinema, wellness facilities, a sensory walk and spaces for dining and gathering.
Senso is positioned adjacent to the new Epping Town Centre masterplan and around a five-minute walk from Epping Metro Station. More than 800 sqm of street-level retail is also planned within the development.
Senso is now under construction at 242–244 Beecroft Road, with completion estimated for late 2028.
