Homeland Furniture secure Hunter Supa Centre, Rutherford lease

Furniture retailer Homeland Furniture is expanding its business into the Lower Hunter region of New South Wales after signing a lease at the Sentinel Property Group's Hunter Supa Centre at Rutherford.

The retailer has secured 785 square metres of retail space at the centre on a five year lease with a further five year option, at a gross annual rental of $145,225 a year.

The Hunter Supa Centre, at 343 New England Highway, Rutherford, is on a 50,690 square metre site which features three separate buildings with a total lettable area of 19,768 square metres plus 438 parking bays.

The Brisbane-based Sentinel acquired the centre in May 2013.

More than 85% of the centre is underpinned by national tenants, including Fantastic Furniture, Petbarn, Betta Electrical, Loot Homewares, The Outdoor Furniture Specialists, Bubs Baby Shops, Plush, Genesis Fitness and Repco.
