Former St George boss lists Alex Popov-designed Mosman house

Former St George Bank chief Paul Fegan and his wife, Leonie, have listed their hillside Mosman residence for March 31 auction.
The Alex Popov-designed Burran Avenue house last traded at $10.75 million in late 2007 when he was the St George chief executive.
Fegan, who was briefly Telstra's executive in charge of strategy and corporate services, is now a non-executive director of AMP Limited.
“Expectations are around the $10 million mark at this stage,” says McGrath listing agent Priscilla Ouvrier.
“It’s an inspired Alex Popov creation that has resulted in sophisticated contemporary residence with light-filled interiors, superior finishes and breathtaking water views.
“Its’ a very private home upon 1,130 square metres,” she says.
The matrimonial property comes with a 20-metre pool.
Burran Avenue’s most recent non-waterfront sales include a $7.4 million to Joris and Adriane Lugtenburg. He’s been associated with the Cape Town based Allan Gray Capital, a South African investment management company, since 1989.
“It was an inspired collaborative design by 4d Architects and its artist owners that created a supremely private and aesthetically exhilarating home offering a sequence of indoor and outdoor living zones and a flexible dual-level layout,” its Raine & Horne selling agent Brendan Warner gushed.
Another hillside Burran Avenue house listed with $5 million-plus hopes in 2010 has been sold at $3.2 million on its third agency marketing campaign.
Mosman has been among the hardest hit suburbs since the global financial crisis.
