Abadeen has unveiled the penthouse crowning its recently completed ENSO development in the heart of Neutral Bay’s evolving village.

The full-floor residence occupies the entire top level of the boutique building, designed by renowned Japanese architect Koichi Takada. It has been crafted to deliver the scale and feel of a standalone home, something rarely achieved in the local apartment market.

Spanning a generous internal and external footprint, the four-bedroom residence features multiple living zones that extend to oversized terraces with elevated district outlooks. Interiors feature natural stone, bespoke joinery and a restrained material palette, reflecting Takada’s signature approach to light, calm and liveability.

Abadeen Executive Chairman and Founder Justin Brown says the unveiling of the penthouse marks a key moment for the project and reflects continued demand for premium, design-led residences on the Lower North Shore.

“This is not simply a penthouse, it is a true full-floor residence that redefines apartment living on the Lower North Shore,” Brown says.

“It is a home in the sky, directly opposite some of Neutral Bay’s best bars, restaurants and cafés. It delivers the space of a freestanding home, the convenience of village living and the rarity of a four-car garage, a combination almost never seen in apartment living.”

Brown says the scale, privacy and level of design consideration place the residence in a category of its own.

“It is exceptionally rare to find something of this quality in a brand-new boutique building within a location as tightly held and connected as Neutral Bay.”

The listing of the ENSO penthouse follows the recent sale of Abadeen’s KOYO penthouse in Crows Nest.

“This residence represents the next evolution, designed by the same internationally acclaimed architect, Koichi Takada, but offering an even greater sense of scale and liveability as a four-bedroom home,” Brown says.

He adds that the penthouse presents a compelling option for downsizers seeking a low-maintenance lifestyle without compromise, with dining, retail and everyday amenity at the doorstep.

ENSO draws inspiration from the Japanese philosophy of balance and simplicity, expressed through organic forms, natural materials and a strong connection to light and landscape.

The penthouse sits within a collection of just nine residences, reinforcing the project’s boutique scale and exclusivity.

Positioned on Grosvenor Street, ENSO is embedded within one of the Lower North Shore’s most active lifestyle precincts, with a curated mix of dining, retail and wellness offerings nearby. Residents are within walking distance of local venues including Bombay Bloomers, Pocket Pizza and Fujitori Yakitori & Sake Bar, as well as a new retail precinct anchored by Dan Murphy’s, Bodylove Pilates and Wholegreen Bakery.

Brown says ENSO reflects Abadeen’s broader strategy of delivering design-led projects in tightly held lifestyle locations.

“Our focus has always been on creating homes that are enduring, highly liveable and aligned with the way people want to live today,” he says.

“ENSO is a strong example of that approach, and the penthouse represents the culmination of that vision.”

With a limited number of residences remaining, ENSO presents a rare opportunity to secure a newly completed home in one of the Lower North Shore’s most established village settings.
