Bing Lee family buy at Bondi Beach
The Bing Lee white goods family have secured a sub-penthouse in Bondi Beach.
They’ve paid $7.6 million for an apartment in the Campbell Parade block The Pacific.
It’s a windfall result for the off the plan seller who paid $3,725,000 in 2012, three years before the redevelopment of the hotel.
The apartment, complete with private lift to floor access, the only apartment in the Pacific to have the feature, spans 285 sqm on title and has three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
It features a sculptural design by the award-winning Koichi Takada Architects.
At the heart of the home is the Gaggenau kitchen, anchored by a deep island bench.
The living space opens to the alfresco entertaining balcony with to be built out views stretching from Ben Buckler to Bondi Icebergs.
Yenda Lee, the family matriarch whose husband Ken founded the national retailer, gives her address as the family’s longtime Hunters Hill home, bought two decades ago for $1,166,000.
Son Lionel, who succeeded his late father and is Bing Lee’s chief executive, is based in a Seaforth home bought for $1.2 million in 2001.
