The Vincent Hotel in Albert Park has had its leasehold sold by Colliers International agent Pat Connolly to the Dixon Hospitality Group.

It follows the group’s acquisitions of the Wayside Inn in South Melbourne and Station Hotel in Footscray in 2014, sales were also negotiated by Mr Connolly.

The Vincent Hotel was established as the Red Eagle Hotel by JB Leech in 1889. It was, and still is, one of the largest hotels in the inner suburbs of Melbourne.

The hotel’s name was changed to The Nest in 2005, then The Vincent in 2012. It hosted Kylie Minogue's 21st birthday.

Michael Dixon, of the Dixon Group, said the new owners intended to offer a relaxed dining atmosphere with a heavy emphasis on quality functions.

The group’s executive chef Josh Rudd has launched a new menu.
