With just a few units left in its luxury Palm Beach apartment development La Belle,&nbsp;Marquee Development Partners is planning its next.

They are moving down The Esplanade, filing plans for 31 apartments on an amalgamated 1,236 sqm site at&nbsp;<a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/new-apartments/velare-444-448-the-esplanade-palm-beach-qld-4221">444–448 The Esplanade</a>, directly opposite the Palm Beach foreshore.

The family-owned developer, ran by Jacques Winterburn, has had&nbsp;<a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/architects/ellivo-architects">Ellivo Architects</a>&nbsp;design the nine-storey building that will comprise 15 two-bedroom apartments, 15 three-beds, and a four-bedroom penthouse.

A residents' lounge with work from home pods will sit on the first level, as will a gym, an alfresco deck with outdoor kitchen, and a lap pool with adjoining spa.

The building will sit next door to Solmare by Chanine Developments, which is set to launch soon, as well as the Casablanca Palms on the Beach resort.

Marquee is on track to deliver its 11th Gold Coast project, with La Belle slated for completion in late 2026. Only four-bedroom apartments remain in the 75-unit development. Marquee has delivered several central Gold Coast projects around Surfers Paradise and Chevron Island, but in recent years has shifted its focus to the southern end of the coast, completing Palm Beach Residences, Northshore Palm Beach, and SOL and Monterey at Kirra.

Sydney property developers Fyve are heading south of the city for their latest residential development.&nbsp;

The group has lodged plans an amalgamated site in the heart of the Shire, with WMK Architecture behind the designs for the 36 apartments at 15-19 Pinnacle Street, Miranda.&nbsp;

A mix of apartment types will be delivered across a five-storey building, with four one-bedroom, 28 two-bedroom, and four three-bedroom apartments planned.&nbsp;

Following an open plan design, the living, dining and kitchen areas adjoin to generously-sized open spaces, in the form of balconies and terraces, connecting the indoors with the out whilst also providing additional living space.&nbsp;

Light and dark brown cladding will encompass a majority of the built form, with similar colours and materials used throughout, tying the project to the local environment.&nbsp;

In keeping with the natural surrounds, landscaping and greenery plays a pivotal role in the development, not only in the form of open communal spaces across the ground floor, but in softening the edge of the building and providing clear entry points into the building.&nbsp;

Landscaping will also enhance the privacy of the internal courtyards and balconies, without impeding views from the site. &nbsp;

Fyve has a steady pipeline of projects in the works, with the group also behind the plans for Liverpool's tallest apartment tower, which only recently launched to the market.&nbsp;

Dubbed The Liverpool, the 34-storey tower will deliver 193 apartments, along with a 93-room hotel, 6,500 sqm of commercial space, and a range of ground-floor retail tenancies.

While not only providing stock to a market that is strong in demand, especially in the Shire area, the proposed development also benefits from close proximity to public transport along with the Miranda Town Centre.

Sydney sporting power couple, Australian cricketer Trent Copeland and his professional netball wife Kimberley Green, have sold in the Shire.
They've sold the Miranda property they bought in 2011, a year before they wed near the beach in North Wollongong.
The purchase came shortly after Copeland was given his baggy green cap on his Test debut in Sri Lanka.
The strata townhouse had only been built four years earlier, part of a boutique complex of just three.

Sports power couple sell Miranda townhouse

The international lawn bowls couple Wayne Turley and Claire Duke have listed their family home in the Sutherland Shire.
The couple, who are both Commonwealth Games medalists, are off to Tweed Heads, the coastal mecca for lawn bowlers.
The move comes as the legendary Turley has secured a managerial role at the Tweed Heads Bowls Club which dates back to the early 1920s.
It also marks a return to the northern NSW for Turley who went to Mullumbimby High.

International lawn bowls couple list in Sutherland Shire

A development-approved site in Sydney’s Miranda has been snapped up by Malaysian-based developer BRDB for $12.8 million.
Located at 1-3 University Road, 668A, 668 and 670 Kingsway, Miranda, the north-facing property has a gross floor area of 5,744 sqm.
It is DA-approved for 66 residential apartments.
Knight Frank managed the sale on behalf of a private family.
According to Knight Frank’s Director, Residential Site Sales, NSW Tim Holtsbaum the purchaser had a strong preference for the Sutherland Shire, given its strong fundamentals and location.
Knight Frank’s Head of Asian Markets, Dominic Ong, said Malaysian buyers have traditionally been very active in Melbourne – but this sale could indicate a shift 
"Sydney has mostly received interest from China and Singapore in terms of Asian investment.
"However, we anticipate this could change."
The north-facing site features 2,872 sqm and is DA-approved large town-home-style ground-floor apartments with garden terraces and upper floors enjoying view towards Cronulla and Sydney’s North.
The apartment mix is approved for 27 percent one-bedroom apartments, 71 percent of two-bedroom apartments and 2 percent three-bedroom apartments.

Malaysian developer BRDB buys Miranda apartment site

Galileo Group launched stage two of its residential development Palisade Miranda with underwhelming results.
Less than half of the apartments were sold although CBRE chairman Justin Brown said sales included the penthouse which fetched above $2 million. 
The majority of buyers of the weekend launch were by empty nesters from the Shire, wider Sydney and local investors that saw the value in what Palisade and The Shire offers, he said. 
The weekend launch - contrasted by the stampede at Macquarie Park - followed Palisade Miranda's August offering which also reflected a comparatively subdued sales rate. 
The August offering saw 65 per cent of the 197 apartments on offer finding buyers.
They were priced between $580,000 to $1.5 million. 
Australian developer Galileo Group say the marketing has been met with "success." 
Palisade is an eight-storey, resort-style development designed by KannFinch and UP Architects, with luxury amenities including a 20-metre pool, lush landscaping, outdoor daybeds, private gym and poolside clubhouse for residents to use as a function space.

Galileo's Palisade Miranda falls to secure stampede in the Shire

Galileo Funds' $165 million apartment project Palisade at Miranda in Sydney's south was launched at the weekend. 
But the overall sales rate reflected the reduced demand and increased caution arising from over supply headlines with just 65 per cent of the 197 apartments finding buyers.
They were priced between $580,000 to $1.5 million on Saturday. 
Australian developer Galileo Group advised the launch of their long awaited residential project Palisade Miranda was met with "great success." 
CBRE Chairman Justin Brown even described the response as "overwhelming." 
But gone are the days of the 100 percent Saturday morning sellouts. CRBE had recently advised a 70 percent sales result on launch was the new norm.  
Palisade is an eight-storey, resort-style development designed by KannFinch and UP Architects, with luxury amenities including a 20-metre pool, lush landscaping, outdoor daybeds, private gym and poolside clubhouse for residents to use as a function space.
There's interiors by Neil Bradford Design. 
Paul Marshall, of Galileo, says Miranda has had limited new development over the past decade. 
"This, coupled with the refurbishment of Westfield, has created strong demand from local purchasers," he suggested prior to the weekend launch. 
Existing residents of Sutherland Shire were Palisade's primary target market with its proximity 200 metres from Westfield Miranda and about one kilometre from Miranda station. 
Prices at the University Road, Miranda project start at one beds, 53-57 square metres, $580,000 to $700,000; two beds, 80-92 square metres, $795,000 to $1.05 million; three beds, 101-123 square metres, $1.09 million to $1.5 million.
It is due for completion early 2019.
