Daniel Hausman

The Sydney property developer, Daniel Hausman pleaded guilty today to extorting around $5 million from the accused conspirators of the alleged Plutus tax fraud. 
Hausman entered a guilty plea to charges of blackmail and dealing with proceeds of crime at Sydney's local court before Magistrate Atkinson.
The Australian Financial Review reported four of his earlier charges were dropped.
The accused conspirators allegedly paid the money, as well as an additional $19 million, in return for the promise that the media and authorities would not be notified.
Hausman, who was not charged with tax fraud, had <a href="/news/woollahra-home-of-alleged-plutus-scammer-daniel-hausman-listed">his Woollahra abode (above) listed</a> for weekend auction when it was <a href="/news/woollahra-home-of-alleged-plutus-scammer-daniel-hausman-passed-in">passed in</a>.
He told The Australian Financial Review he had been assisting the AFP for the last two years in recovery of money.
Accused Plutus mastermind Adam Cranston was also at the court seeking changes to his bail conditions.
