Enfield may be home to fewer than 3,000 residents, but its prime location between Strathfield and Burwood has cemented its status as one of the Inner West’s hidden gems.

How Yarra One apartments fit in to South Yarra's Forrest Hill Precinct

Last year EcoWorld completed their second&nbsp;Australian apartment development, Yarra One, offering&nbsp;a high end point of difference in Melbourne's South Yarra.

There are a limited selection of one, two and three-bedroom apartments still for sale in the Claremont Street development, which was designed&nbsp;by the award-winning Fender Katsalidis team.

They took inspiration for the tower from the surrounding areas,&nbsp;focusing&nbsp;on pure geometry throughout their design.

There was a higher level of finish at Yarra One compared with other high-rise towers, from&nbsp;the fine grain of the chevron timber floors to the custom-designed pendant lights.

Orientated to take in the maximum possible views through the floor-to-ceiling windows, the living spaces of each apartment have been created as open plan as possible, with the kitchen, dining and living spaces&nbsp;ordered to take in the views.

The amenity has been designed as an extension of the apartments, with soaring double-height ceilings across&nbsp;a resident dining room, library and wine cellar.

The multi-national property developer EcoWorld International has completed construction on its $250 million South Yarra development, Yarra One.

The 26 level tower, designed by Fender Katsalidis, homes&nbsp;247 one, two and three bedroom apartments. With settlement currently underway, the project&nbsp;is around 80 per cent sold. There were&nbsp;a mix of buyers, but downsizers and investors saw the greater attraction to the building.

There are also three penthouses, two of which have sold to downsizers.

Yarra One marks EcoWorld International&#39;s second Australian project, having last year completed West Village​ in Sydney&#39;s Parramatta.

EcoWorld International Australia CEO Mr Yap Foo Leong&nbsp;said it&rsquo;s an exciting time for the company after what has been a challenging year.

EcoWorld have considered the sustainability even further than the four-star green building achieved. Residents will have access to a Victorian first, sustainable car-sharing model in a multi-residential setting with exclusive use of a brand new Tesla.

&ldquo;Yarra One already boasts a phenomenal walk score of 92, with the car-share adding another layer of sustainability and future-proofing,&quot; Mr Leong added.

Purchasers also had the option to include a charging point within their designated car space.

This is based on recent research which discovered the most common reason individuals retire is due to financial security. EcoWorld says Yarra One will appeal to pre-retirees in particular who wish to maintain their standard of living without worrying about the financial stress associated with it.

Residents will have access to a wellness precinct, equipped with a gymnasium, outdoor spa, dance studio and yoga room, as well as dining and entertainment facilities. A co-working space will also be located across three floors of The Atrium, providing an integrated hub and an open workplace concept for all residents, particularly semi-retirees and freelancers.

Construction has already commenced on site at Yarra One with Hickory at the helm. Upon completion in 2020, the 26-level tower will encompass 255 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, in addition to four-bedroom penthouses. Yarra One has been designed to adhere to Livable Housing Australia’s Gold-Star standard, and will offer adaptable floor plans, allowing residents to the future-proof their apartment to suit their changing needs over time.

EcoWorld International rethinks retirement living for South Yarra project

One of South Yarra's largest apartment developments will proceed to construction with Hickory Group announcing it is the builder of choice for Yarra One.

Eco World International's sole Melbourne project will proceed immediately to construction as demolition across the site wraps up. Hickory Group will build the 27 storey apartment tower, which includes 256 apartments set over 37,000 plus square metres of built form.

The move to construction follows a development process which saw Eco World International acquire the project from fellow Malaysian-based developer Salcon Development.

Alongside the apartments, Hickory Group will also deliver amenities within the tower which include a library, dining room, gym, wellness retreat and wine room. The project's main publicly accessible feature is a large multi-purpose atrium/ arbour, which has become somewhat of a design showpiece across various Fender Katsalidis-designed projects.

Hickory Group's South Yarra success adds to three additional builds which have yet to break ground. Chadstone's MGallery by Sofitel and Queens Road's Victoriana apartment project have recently been awarded to Hickory Group, whilst the builder will shortly begin works on a Southbank office complex which it will part occupy upon completion.

Urban.com.au recently <a href="/news/hickory-appointed-to-build-chadstones-mgallery-by-sofitel-hotel">covered the appointment of Hickory Group</a> to the Chadstone development. Hickory will incorporate large prefabricated elements such as stairs and walls in order to deliver the 250 hotel rooms over little more than a year from now.

The Rothelowman-designed project requires that Hickory Group deliver 41,000 plus square metres of built form on a double site overlooking Albert Park. December 2020 is the anticipated completion date.

The last of Hickory Group's quartet of projects which have yet to break ground is perhaps the most interesting. The builder will relocate to a purpose-built office development at 68 Clarke Street upon its completion which is slated for the third quarter of 2019.

The Elenberg Fraser-designed office building "takes on new design thinking for a more people-centered approach; reinventing the way we work".

That translates to features such as a targeted 5 star NABERS rating, novel thermal control solutions, a heavily greened facade, green internal atrium and greenhouses/edible gardens across multiple terraces.
