International development company <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/developers/spg-land">SPG Land</a> has kicked off construction of the $1.5 billion <a href="https://www.apartments.com.au/new-apartments/paradiso-place-surfers-paradise-103-ferny-avenue-surfers-paradise-qld-4217">Paradiso Place</a>, one of the highest value developments to get underway on the Gold Coast in more than a decade.

Located on a 1.15ha site stretching from Surfers Paradise Boulevard to Ferny Avenue, Paradiso Place, when completed, will deliver 845 residences across three residential towers. &nbsp;

Paradiso Place has been several years in planning by SPG, which has now pushed the green light on construction to meet pent-up demand from investors and owner occupiers.

The move follows minor amendments to the original design to cater to buyer demand, including the provision of more premium residential amenity, including private dining, lounge and events spaces for residents to entertain guests.

The three towers, comprising 41, 40 and 44 levels, will bring to the market 845 apartments with each tower boasting its own podium level interconnected skybridge to create a unique elevated ‘beachside village’ for residents.

We're still actively searching for properties despite the logistical challenges, and a character home came up for sale on Brisbane's northside this week, which looked as though it may be of some interest for one of our clients. 
Saturday open homes aren't allowed just yet, although they will be again very soon given that Queensland is fairly consistently reporting zero new cases of COVID-19 now.
Actually, with the exception of the Cedar Meats cluster in Victoria, Australia is recording close to zero cases per day, while ICU cases have declined to just 17.

Listings tighten across the nation, a pre-election repeat: Pete Wargent

The Brisbane council region had the highest volume of loss-making unit sales in the country, according to the recent CoreLogic pain and gain report.
Brisbane also had the highest loss-making sales rate for houses and units of the east-coast capital cities, with loss-making sales increasing to 14.3 per cent.

During the June quarter, 43 per cent of units saw a loss at resale, whilst houses were at 6.4 per cent.
According to the report, Brisbane will likely see a boost in housing demand once interstate border closures ease due to Queensland’s significant interstate migration.
“The normalisation of remote work through COVID-19 may only boost that demand further”, the report read.
The average median loss for gross loss-making sales in Brisbane was $37,500.

Housing market conditions for Victoria are the best overall nationwide according to new data released today. 
The Commonwealth Bank-CoreLogic Home Buyers Index (HBI) April 2015 found that out of the ten 'best sellers' markets nationwide, seven were located in Victoria.
The report considered property in Mallee, Loddon, Barwon, Wimmera, Melbourne and the central highlands as part of a balanced market.
Eastern outer Melbourne, Hume City and Melton-Wyndham were considered 'extreme' markets.
