Matthew Perry, best known for his role as Chandler on long-running sitcom Friends, has put a second California home on the market.

The 381-square-metre Hollywood Hills house comes with three bedrooms, four bathrooms and features hilltop views over the city of Los Angeles and a canyon outlook. It includes a home theatre and the de rigeur pool.

The property is being marketed by Partners Trust Real Estate with price hopes of US$5,695,000. Property records show that Perry bought the house through a trust for US$4,475,000 in 2008.

Since the conclusion of Friends Perry has been involved with several short-lived projects, including starring in the Aaron Sorkin dramedy Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and writing, producing and starring in Mr Sunshine, which only lasted on American network ABC for two months earlier this year.

The Hollywood house is the second California property Perry has listed this month, earlier putting his contemporary Malibu property onto the market with price hopes of US$13.5 million.
