Hawthorn's Coppin Grove Wines vineyard on the Yarra sold
An inner city vineyard on the Yarra River at Hawthorn has been sold having been listed with $12 million to $13 million hopes through Scott Patterson at Kay & Burton.
The Hawthorn vineyard, just four kilometres from Melbourne, is the home of Coppin Grove Wines, a boutique family vineyard established in 1998, comprising approximately 1000 Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Nebbiolo vines.
The vineyard's signature wine is the Coppin Grove Sparkling.
The new mystery buyer - with its sale price also undisclosed - will continue the winemaking task.
It had been the work of Michael Cohn, who runs his own business importing and distributing textiles in Australia, and his wife Ann.
They paid $1,404,000 for the 8,200 sqm double block in 1996.
