Braddon home Canberra's most expensive weekend sale
A $1.25 million Braddon home was the weekend's most expensive Canberra auction sale.
The 1927 four bedroom home sold at a price that reflected an annual price appreciation of 7.96% having last traded for $852,000 in 2012.
Inspired by architect of Canberra Walter Burley Griffin's Garden City, the 1067 sqm dwelling features a leafy urban environment with vegetable plots and fruit trees surrounding a red brick terrace.
The updated home has preserved its period details, with original timber detailing, high battened ceilings, terracotta roof tiles and two original fireplaces.
Braddon is located in the inner north of Canberra, providing convenient access to public transport transport and substantial recreation, entertainment and community facilities.
