The Banco Group is a privately-owned property management, investment, and development company that began in 1962. They focus on industrial, commercial, retail, mixed-use residential, and land subdivisions for investors and owner-occupiers.
Some of their more recent developments include Smith&Co. located at 132-172 Smith Street in Collingwood and No. 18 Albert at 18 Albert Street in Footscray.
Their most recent development is Riverside Place on Hobsons Road in Kensington, Victoria. This low-rise multi-residential development sits alongside the Maribyrnong River, roughly 4kms from the Melbourne CBD. Designed by Nordon Jago Architects, the 6 Star eco-friendly apartments include an on-site communal garden courtyard, a rooftop terrace, entertainment area, and ground floor café. The site was formerly home to racing stables.
The Banco Group has also just completed East Brunswick Village, a mixed-use, medium-rise multi-residential, commercial, and retail development on Nicholson Street in East Brunswick. The development includes specialty shopping, a landscaped piazza, pedestrian mall, office spaces, and parking for vehicles and bicycles 5.5km from Melbourne’s CBD.
