The design draws on our projects completed across the decade and gets to the heart of who we are, what we represent, and what we envision for urban development. As Milieu’s new home, this building will be a tangible expression of our values. The essence of Milieu, and what we stand for, will be felt in each detail. Situated moment’s from Smith Street—the cultural and culinary heart of Fitzroy and Collingwood—this building is created in collaboration with international studio Hassell and local practice DesignOffice. As long-time residents of Otter Street, we’re proud to contribute to its streetscape and community. We’ve worked here for seven years—and we look forward to many more. Located near Glenferrie Road and High Street Armadale, residents benefit from easy access to retail, dining, and transport, along with the green character of the area’s surrounding parks and gardens.

The boutique project of just 21 apartments near <a href="/developments/malvern-vic-3144">Malvern</a> and Glenferrrie roads is being developed by forward-thinking, off the plan development specialists Milieu, who have a long reputation of creating design-driven projects across Melbourne since 2010.

They're developing the project in partnership with development partner Penfold and financier giant Maxcap, creating an enviable trio who have significant experience in crafting quality projects.

The years of development experience doesn't stop there. They've had the cool local architecture studio RITZ&amp;GHOUGASSIAN champion the striking building's design.

A development characterised by a balance of solid architectural elements and greenery, Plant Street features bush-hammered concrete panels and smooth slab edges, creating depth and variety.

Interior design practice Georgina Jeffries has handled the interiors of the one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments,&nbsp;focus on nurturing, light-filled spaces with a material palette of honey timber joinery, brown ash brick, terrazzo, and natural stone.

Custom-made lighting by Volker Haug Studio complements the design, reflecting a refined approach that values local craftsmanship and lasting comfort.

Every space in the home features a natural stone and warm neutral palette, from the modern, sleek integrated galley kitchen with a large island-breakfast bar to the open-plan living and dining areas with wooden and textured furniture facing borderless floor-to-ceiling glazing that seamlessly connects the indoors with the outdoors.

The bedrooms are simple and well-proportioned, exuding a sense of calm and retreat with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the rich landscaping outside.

The building is enveloped in landscaping by the renowned landscape architecture firm Acre. An&nbsp;internal open-air atrium softens the structure and blending architecture, interiors, and the neighbourhood. The greenery includes a dynamic mix of deciduous plants and trees that change with the seasons.

Ground-floor apartments boast well-landscaped gardens, while upper-level dwellings feature planters and creepers on their terraces.
